Daamn he pulled off the Dastyukian drag. I feel like if I tried that i'd tear both my acl and mcl

The funny thing is it's actually a pretty simple move, meaning there isn't a lot to it. It's all in how you sell it. That being said, the first guy I saw use it when I was in prep school scored every single time he used it IIRC.

As mad, madder or not as mad as the Vancouver board when we snagged Schneiderman?

"umad?" official motto of Lou Lamoriello

Brunner caused a couple of Wings fans to grumble. Schneider caused a board meltdown

Re-reading the Schneider threading seeing gems like: "our GM is ****ing clueless. Totally inept and a complete fraud."

Yeah Schneider trade wins all.

LOL this thread is great!

We need a new ''You mad?'' gif. The old one had Kovalchuk on it.

Too bad HF is going down in a couple of minutes. Was hoping to post in the GDT for the game tonight.

Happy about this signing. A good friend of mine is a big time Wings fan and he's upset about Brunner not being re-signed. He'll fit in nicely among our three "second lines."

As much as we kid about Tedenby going on IR and solving the roster problem for the time being, I'd rather not have it hanging over everyone's head like Damocles again, we saw how well that worked out in 2010 when everyone was worried about the cap issues that went unresolved for months. Whatever Lou's going to do (get rid of Little Gio, fob off one of the spare forwards) I'd rather just do it now.

I don't think we're over the cap yet. The guys who would be going on LTIR are guys making close to league minimum anyway.

The Wings could have signed him if they didn't sign Old Man Alfie Bourque. I'm gonna laugh if they don't win the cup with him.:laugh:

No I just meant having who gets cut from the roster hanging over our head. We have cap space but we also have sixteen forwards for fourteen spots. Erasing little Gio gets it down to 15. Putting Tedenby on IR (or Loiktionov) would basicaly be postponing the decision and make everyone constantly look over their shoulder.

Detroit fans puzzle me.

Very similar team on paper...two aging stars and a cast of supporting characters that can either make or break their season.

Dunno why they would go after us aside from pure jealousy of signing Brunner.

At the beginning of the offseason, I said that we should probably drop Clarkson and sign Brunner with his money instead. Getting him at $2.5M AAV is really, really nice. Between him and Ryder, we got a pair of real bargains on goal-scoring wingers.

As for all those counting the Devils out, my advice would be ignore them. We've got great coaching, a very solid defense with an incredibly bright future in front of it (perhaps better than solid, depending on Larsson's progression), and a very well balanced forward corps. I very much like our lineup of centers, because it's good offensively but very good defensively, which is how the Devils traditionally build in the middle.

I don't know what the lineup is going to look like now, because we've got too many forwards, but I trust DeBoer to put that together.
