I've stayed away from the demo just because I want to keep it fresh for the whole release, but I've seen some of it. I also was watching some vids on how the game is horribly optimized for the Deck but so far they've already released 2 patches and as of yesterday apparently it's running much better.
Highly recommend playing the demo before launch. The first chunk of the game slogs a bit as it mainly focuses on exposition and tutorializing everything. Save progress carries over, so you'll set yourself up to hit the ground running on launch day.

Yea I think I'm gonna play it soon, I just didn't want to get through the prologue so long before launch.

Forgot Ys Nordics was coming out, will probably pick that up too. Should probably beat 8 finally before I do.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is on my short list of upcoming games I’m excited for. For anyone who is unaware this is a faithful remake of the game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

As a MASSIVE Metal Gear fan with MGS3 being my favorite game of the series it’s a no-brainer that I’ll be picking this one up.

I find MGS3 to be the best game of the series in terms of story, mechanics, setting, and gameplay all considered. I think it’s the perfect candidate for a modern remake. The game is using mostly originally recorded voice acting dialogue with some added and re-dubbed content. I can’t wait to see how they pull it off.

Any new Metal Gear game without Hideo Kojima is just a waste; so I’m glad to see them going this round and keeping Kojima’s vision in tact.

I find it funny that MGS3 is the only one I never actually played. I've watched a playthrough on YouTube and seen it played on OuterHeaven's Twitch channel so many times that I've seen it all, but I'm still looking forward to actually playing the remake myself when it releases.

Looking forward to Indiana Jones.

I loved MachineGames work with Wolfenstein, and while I do think they made some interesting design choices with this game (1st person, but granted, they've only made 1st person games previously). I'm not expecting a GOTY type contender or anything revolutionary. Just hoping it's of the tier of Jedi:Fallen Order/Survivor (but better optimized for PC) or Guardians of the Galaxy. I love the Indiana Jones original trilogy, so just having fun in that universe for 10 or so hours with good gameplay would be enough for me. If they exceed that I'll be happy.

Same. It’ll be one of the few games my wife will want to watch me play or even play herself. She loved watching me play TLOU 1 & 2 and we’re both huge Indiana Jones fans so hopefully this is a fun one.

Live service Multi-player games are hard to come by these days. At least ones that are half decent to play for more than 2 months. (Ignoring strictly PVP first person games)

Pirate Yakuza sounds more nuts with each update. Apparently Majima will have a madness gauge in addition to the heat one while fighting, once you max it out you play one of four instruments that calls an animal to help you and the ocarina summons a giant jellyfish called the Dark God of the Deep.

MGS3 is one of my favourite games of all time, but I’m not at all excited about this remake.

First off there’s no Kojima involvement obviously. Secondly, the original plays just fine today. It is still one of the best games ever made and doesn’t suffer from any archaic gameplay frustrations.

I feel the same way about the Resident Evil 4 remake. It’s the only RE remake I haven’t played, because it feels needless when the original still plays wonderfully. I don’t see the point of a faithful remake that only updates the graphics, just doesn’t appeal to me.

If they were going to remake something Metal Gear, doing Metal Gear 1 + 2 (games before the Solid series) would’ve been a lot more interesting as most people haven’t played them and they’re so outdated at this point.

I can definitely see your point of view And skepticism.

Agree about it still playing well. Just finished a playthrough recently and good as ever. Funny you mention RE4 also because I played that one again last month too lol.

I’m just a bit of a sucker and can’t skip this one. I’ll post about it once I play it and report back.
