Exactly. It's why a match like Savage vs. Steamboat really stands out, as it was the anomaly during that era of the WWF. Bret (and Shawn and Savage, add in Henning when he arrived) were the exception back then in the World Wrestling Federation.

Although I have to admit the match quality between 1995 and 1996 is night and day.

Not only do you have Bret and Shawn at Shawn at least for part of the year because Bret leaves for a few months.

But you also get Taker VS Mankind which is great.

And you get some fun stuff between Austin and Marc Mero, seriously That suff is better then I remember.

You can really tell WCW was forcing them to up their game in a way they just weren't in 1995
