While his new theme is good in a vacuum, Roman Reigns old theme song was better for this character and would've been worked great as bad guy wins music after he breaks hearts of people like Cesaro and Finn Balor.

I'd rather have another extra normal Takeover every year than WarGames, or at least if they're not going to have a NXT title match on it.

Wargames is played out but everything in wrestling gets over done once its popular. Give wargames a break and let ppl get excited for it imo.

The problem with Wargames is that it's become a predictable event. We all know about what time it'll happen. That's not just on WWE since WCW did that too. Aside from the first three (televised or VHS, not the house shows) and the 1991-1993 versions, we all knew exactly when the booker(s) would start an 8-10 man feud. It'd be a lot more fun if it happened to blow off a feud randomly rather than have a show preplanned to be built around the gimmick match (and I mean ANY gimmick match, except the Royal Rumble, because that transcends).

I should participate in the actual topic at hand:

Ladder matches are a dime a dozen anymore and shouldn't be done for a very long time.

Wouldn't consider this an unpopular opinion but the version of HHH's early pedigree was just brutal to watch. Surprising it took him years to finally release the arms of the opponent on the way down.

I thought La Resistance was amazing and related to that Rene Dupree started his own YouTube page and there’s some interesting stuff on there

I remember thinking in 2004, that Dupree would be a main eventer one day.

I remember thinking "this guy sucks".

Honestly not really, but I had zero interest or care for his character so that counts as far as fandom goes.

Lol I don't know what I was thinking. I wasn't even that young back then and was pretty smart about wrestling by then. Not sure why I had this opinion.

Other guys I thought would be eventually high on the card:

-Eugene (after a heel turn saying he faked his condition)
-Test - thought he was solid for a guy his size.
-Doug Basham - I thought he was great on the mic and had consistently great matches.
-Kizarny
- Carlito - but I think a lot of people thought this.

Well I mean he did spit in the faces of those not wanting to be cool. It couldn’t miss.

You sure can pick the golden goose  For real though it's so hard to say what could ever happen. I mean, I liked Stunning Steve Austin and Jericho a lot in WCW but I would have never bet either would be top guys in WWF.

Same with Rocky and so many others, career trajectory depends on so much and has to be the right opportunity for the right people at the right time, etc. No shame in thinking Dupree could have been something. Hell, Glen Jacobs was laughable forever, even in the WWF, and then Kane came around and poof: 20+ year gimmick and HOFer!

I'm tired of people pretending Ruby Soho is a good wrestler.
She is actually p bad.

To piggy back off this.

Most current wrestlers are not good in ring performers.

Yes, they can physically do all the moves and flips that make all those cool GIFs...but only a handful know and use any actual ring psychology or story telling in their matches. Which is what leads to so many feuds and storylines being flat and lacking real emotional connection with the audience.

99% of modern wrestling amounts to guys trading spots for the sake of trading spots with no purpose

I get your point but I'm a fan of those spotty type of matches. If I'm supposed to suspend my disbelief for Irish whips and bouncing off ropes, then flippy spots is much less of a concern in terms of believability.

Roman vs. Brock title for title is the right thing to do because it's the biggest match on the biggest stage

Yeah, I'm not too excited about it since we've seen it so many times, but there are just no other stars on the roster that can make a worthy main event. It speaks more about bad booking than it does about Lesnar and Reigns' star power.
