That's strange. Most teams who may be one-and-done pick Friday. Also the Sens are playing the Avs Thursday. Don't know yet, but this could be a UNB game.
Why is this best for the host team?I like this. Tournament organizers are doing what is best for the host team and not what is best for attendance.
I’m assuming he is referencing that if they win the QF they will have to play 3 days in a row if they played Friday night. Why is this best for the host team?

If they are the "Host", they could be seeded #8 and will play UNB. Then they get Fri, Sat and Sun off.If the host team wins on Thursday night they would get to have Friday off before the semi-final game. As opposed to potentially playing three straight days.

I can't comment on 2-7, but can agree with 1 and 8.So, the ticket info for the event is out via TD Centre Ticketing (Ticketing).
Ottawa will be playing on Thursday night (opposite the Senator's vs Av's game).
Ottawa currently sits in 3rd place in OUA-East, six points behind Queen's. There are 6 games left but it's likely that Ottawa will end the season in 3rd or lower as they only have a 1-2pt lead on OTech, McG and UQTR.
Anything is possible but I don't see Ottawa going to the OUA-East finals (Concordia and either Queen's or McGill) which makes them the HOST and will likely play the #1 seed (unless that's Concordia - it's possible, but unlikely).
My current predictions (total guess), because that's all that we know at this stage, based on current standings & Rankings.
1. UNB
2. USask
3. CON
4. UoT
5. MRU
6. UdeM
