I see on main board the latest rumor is Priskie is deciding between us Tampa, and Florida I find it incredibly hard to believe he has any interest in us with how strong our RD side is anyone else have more info than me?
Florida definitely seems more likely then thanks for the clarification.I believe that rumor is coming from Jimmy Murphy, who is not usually reliable. Plus Priskie is from Florida so it makes the Habs a longshot, even if true. Would love if the Habs could sign him, tho.

In all honesty that was my exact thought when I read the rumor I was like has Montreal ever managed to snag an NCAA free agent I couldn't think of a single one.I’m just speculating, could be wrong. Habs rarely nab these type of FAs.
I have been calling for Priskie for a while now. It's a no brainer, you got to get this guy here. Yes we have RD depth but he is a free higher end asset, like getting an NHL ready prospect for free.
That's how I see it as well I think there's too much competition for him to have real interest in signing here and MB hasn't exactly shown he's capable of signing free agents when they have better options. So the guy gets to pick any team he wants and he has to beat Weber, Petry, Juulsen and Brook for a job. You think he will sign here ?

Juhlsen is nothing special and no lock for anything. Weber is injury prone. Petry is trade bait and Brook is nowhere close to being ready. I get what you are saying, but it's not a slam dunk that he can't find a place here.

According to an NHL source with knowledge of the situation, the Montreal Canadiens, Florida Panthers, and Tampa Bay Lightning were serious suitors, but after Priskie became a UFA at 5 p.m. Thursday, “the Lightning are coming in hot!”

I wonder what it would mean for Juulsen future in Montreal if we get Priskie.

He's arguably one of the best defenders not playing in the nhl right now the issue is hes a rd so im not sure where he fits on our squad unless mb is far more open to moving petry than i think he isIs he any good?
don't know much about him... but this mid-season piece had him in the same breath as Makar, Q.Hughes & Fox... so sounds like a prospect worth a serious look

The Carolina Hurricanes, adding to their defensive depth, signed former Quinnipiac defenseman Chase Priskie to a two-year, entry-level contract on Saturday.
Priskie, 23, will earn $832,500 per season at the NHL level and $70,000 per season at the AHL level. He will get a signing bonus of $185,000.
