8. E.J. Emery, D, North Dakota (NYR): Development is elite at North Dakota, and Emery has the tools to be a force. As a freshman, he can use his size and skating to shut down the enemy.

20. Sacha Boisvert, C, North Dakota (CHI): Chicago's second first-round pick in 2024 is a two-way center who gives you a bit of everything. He'll have nice weapons to play with.

37. Andrew Strathmann, D, North Dakota (CLB): Puck-mover with a serious edge arrives in Grand Forks after a very productive USHL career that included a title in Youngstown.

60. Mac Swanson, RW, North Dakota (PIT): Diminutive dynamo is coming off a USHL championship, and his ability to produce points cannot be overstated.

69. Owen McLaughlin, C, North Dakota (PHI): His freshman season was an adjustment for the former USHL star, but McLaughlin broke out as a sophomore. Can he up his point total again?

98. Cam Berg, C, North Dakota (NYI): Veteran producer put up 20 goals in his first season at NoDak after transferring from Omaha. No reason not to expect a point per game as a senior.

This is going to be a fun season if goaltending can hold up.

I know it was an exhibition game at home but dang they looked uninterested against Augustana to the tune of a 4-1 loss. Lot of work to do before Providence comes to the Ralph Saturday and I will be there in a suite

I truly expect a different team come Saturday. Saw some player interviews on a local sports segment and they are embarrassed with their play especially in front of the home crowd. If the results are the same as last Saturdays game then I’ll be real concerned

The boys looked damn good last night over Providence 5-2 in the Hall of Fame at the Ralph. So many alumni back and we had quite a few in our suite including these 2 living legends, Hakstol and Gasparini. I asked Gino if still laces em up and he said hell no I’m 79 and happy just to get out of bed 🤣

That was ugly last night. Mankato 3 UND 0. Now BU comes the Ralph and I’ll be there for Fridays game. They better figure it out this week or it will be a BU sweep

I was wondering what Hak might be up to after Seattle. It’s good to see him back in GF enjoying the opener. I imagine a lot of us wonder if Berry gets pushed out, whether Hak would have any interest in returning to the helm. I don’t THINK I’m being too conspiratorial to think Hak isn’t high profile enough to “bump into” the AD over the weekend. Berry’s runway might be coming to an end.

And from there, given Hak’s history of targeting Canadian talent more than Berry has, and the recent ruling re: major junior players being allowed to play college hockey, whether Hakstol would leverage that even further.

Different outcome tonight as I expected. UND has to work on their breakaways. I’m guessing they were 0 for 7 this weekend. Boys played really well though and BU will be a tough team to play against from here on out

He's 15 years old. He won't be at UND until 26-27 season at the earliest. Wonder will he stay in BCHL or go to USHL?
Good question. He could decommit by then too

Cornell sweeps. UND is really banged up right now and it's been a tough schedule so far. Duluth up next followed by the defending champs Denver. Would be nice to win 3 of 4 in that stretch but I'm definitely not going to hold my breath

I'm considering a road trip for next season to The Dakotas, to include a visit to Ralph Englestad Arena for a UND home game. How available would tickets likely be for an early season, non-conference game (if such a matchup is common for NoDak)? Visiting team wouldn't be an important factor for me & Mrs. JMC; my primary goal is to finally see The Ralph in person while we're still fit enough for long trips. Any advice would be appreciated, including if/whether a Friday or a Saturday game would give me a greater volume of tickets to choose from. Thanks in advance.
