Well, at least it's not the main board, lol.

No. It's not time to panic.

Deeeeeep breaths.

It is absolutely time to panic.

In the past we did nothing and were essentially out of it within 2 weeks from now.

We need to make sure we don't go on a slide. If Detroit wins their game in hand, the only team we'll be better than in the division is Montreal. Lol

We absolutely need to start climbing the standings if we want to secure a playoff spot.

Edit: by panic, I mean do something rather than nothing.

The margin all the experts were saying at the start of the year is Ullmark needed to give us 2 extra saves a game for us to make the playoffs - he’s not doing that, he’s not doing his job.

He’s for sure been our worst player this season and singularly cost us multiple points.

Very simply, if Ullmark doesn’t get going we’ll miss the playoffs, if he does get going, we make the playoffs.

If it was one bad night, I could dismiss it, but this is becoming a pattern.

Why is it, every big goalie we face, plays like a god damn elite number one? And our guy is essentially a sieve.

Fedotov at 6'7, should've been slow and clunky but no, he plays like a cat like last night. Stolarz, another massive guy was incredibly hard to beat. Ottawa never gets a break.

I’ve been surprised how unathletic Ullmark is, he’s efficient I get it but he looks kinda stiff in the net, lethargic, not getting tons of emotion or energy from Ullmark

This fanbase is psychologically damaged. Imagine getting so worked up you want to throw away a guy who's played well his entire career after a poor start to his season?

I can imagine, because it's us

The spirit of Eugene Melnyck here, when something goes badly, blame the fans

Another impulsive Adrianopolous panic thread. Yawn. Ullmark is not the biggest issue with this squad by a longshot.
I mean, right now, he has been. I don't expect him to continue to struggle forever though, he's got a full career of being reliable. Sucks that he's struggling but we can afford to be patient.

Not time to panic obviously. There's a larger sample of him being a Vezina-level goalie than there is of him being a sieve so unless he suddenly lost all his abilities, he should get back to his old self once he adjusts to the new team etc.

With that said, I'm still not over his performance last night. Definitely some of the all-time worst goaltending I've seen in front of a dominating team.

There are consistency issues overall, but right now I'd say that yes, our #1 playing like shit is the biggest concern.

Tbf stolarz has been excellent all year. Fedotov allowed 1 goal against the lightning recently and we still scored 7 goals combined on them.

What is the biggest issue then? Our defense and offense haven't been perfect, but they've been in sync and playing like a unit currently with no major flaws.

No need to panic but he has been brutal for the most part of the season.

Closing in on 20 games and we are starting to see a pattern with his play and we are not even sure if he will improve on this or this exact pattern will continue or it will decline. Anything is possible with our goalies

He will be fine. Some bad bounces for sure.

People are way too focussed on the standings right now. This is the best they have played since 2007.
I think we played better in 2017 when we were one double overtime goal from winning the Stanley Cup.

However I agree with you that the team looks different. More shots, more dominant puck possession and a wicked powerplay.

The only thing is the players can't stop the puck, the goalie has to and last night was a very poor performance by Ullmark.

The frustration comes from knowing that his play in previous years combined with his salary suggested that he would be better than 2.77 goals against and a .890 save percentage.
