If we have another thread like this one tomorrow .. Uhhh folks, we’re only down 2-1 against the reigning champs, then there will be more valid reason for concern of Leafs coming back. IMO

Weren't you the guy who said the Leafs had no chance coming back from 3-0 vs Detroit in 1942?

Yeah not just the first round, but also game 7. I feel like either team could win this series and the winner could win the cup (or could just as easily lose in the 2nd round of course). I also feel like there's an excellent chance this goes to game 7 and all I can say is that if it does, I hope we play well win or lose.

I say that because it might be just me, but what bothers me most is not that we have this streak of 1st round losses going, it's that whenever the series comes down to one game, we manage to play some of our worst hockey of the playoffs and more than anything else, I need to see that change. I also like this team a lot, I'd say that this and the 93 team are the two best Leaf teams of the last 50 years and for that reason, I think we either win this round or we go down fighting hard as hell and restore some pride either way.

It's easy to see that this pair is from the East most complete matchup. Both teams have serious cup hope. Even though Tampa isn't good as last season (when I thought they were basicly unbeatable in a sense) and we don't have that experience yet.

I think that we witness the growth of our young core in front of our eyes and it isn't always as fun that we all thought it would be. Even Yzerman was 30 year old perennial loser before Red Wings got over all the obstacles.

Tavares was the piece that I think was going to be the series clinching addition to build bit older core around MNM and to help them. It haven't worked yet. Pressure is peculiar thing and you have to learn to handle it, this city is pressure cooker for so many way, which is challenge for young players.

Want to hope that we win and make it trough. Then get the snow ball rolling into right direction. This should be fun time and best time of the year for players and fans. Not something that you fear and want to think about taking a break from here because everything is toxic as hell.
