The frustrating thing about the team's inaction about goaltending is that we don't need to put all our eggs in that basket. Most are suggesting getting a value addition. Another thing there is that Seravelli says almost no one is looking for a goalie. Every playoff team is getting better goaltending than we are, and I'd argue every team in the league is (but really that first point is plenty reason to start caring about goaltending). There are lots of possible additions we can make, and not much competition from other trade suitors
Most of all, the point about goaltending not fixing itself with a new goalie is very arguable. Plus that statement could be made about any addition. Getting Rantanen doesn't necessarily wake up our top six offense and pp. But, the media fawns over itself having fun with that one. Our defense and forwards don't really need an addition. Sure, the more, the better but how does this logic not apply to goaltending? And yet all the speculation is to load up on players that just crank up the depth
