Just a terrible game for Matheson, who lead the team in ice time.

- Turnover lead to the 1st goal
- not doing anything in front of the next except screening Montembeault on the 2nd
- Stopped skating with the goalie pulled which lead to a non-icing call and sustained offensive zone time for Pittsburgh
- Turnover, eventually lead to the empty net goal


They really need to lower his ice time, starting with taking him off power play 1.

I think 32nd is a very real possibility for this team.

Sharks and Blackhawks even look better.

The Sharks are definitely better than us once they get Celebrini back in the lineup.
With the way we've been playing there's not a single team I could confidently say we'll finish above.

It's looking like we're in store for another top 5 pick and a bit of a shakeup this offseason to hopefully get us somewhat prepped for the 2025-2026 season.

I think 3/4 of the team should review the basics of hockey - receiving a pass, passing, shooting.

And some players to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they are really alone on the ice if they don't notice their teammates. Caufield, for example.

Dvorak benefited from skating, he played great today.

Otherwise, don't worry, you have a young team, besides the second line center is more a winger. That has to show. That's what young teams pay for. Look at Philadelphia, Tortorella is a great coach and yet they have problems, not just because of goalie.

Other than Xhekaj, there’s about 1.5 other players that will stick up for their teammates on this team.

Mike Matheson is the complete and utter drizzling shits again. So Marty Saint John plays him for half the game. Lovely drop pass on the empty net goal to give away the game.

Just a pile of steaming garbage from a team that doesn’t seem to care about the game or each other.

At least they’ve cut down the GAA to 3, that’s only 34 goals given up in their last 7 games. Fantastic defensive coaching.

Where did Matheson come into the empty net goal. Looked like Hutosn lost the puck, regained it and then Gallagher ran into him and Penguins got the puck and scored.
