A fighter screaming in pain while in a submission seems like a completely reasonable time for a ref to intervene to stop the fight. I don't understand the confusion, I don't think the rules say you have to verbalize the word "tap" in order to submit. Tafa has nothing to complain about, don't scream like you're being murdered if you don't want the ref to stop the fight.

Yeah been confirmed that if you scream then the ref can stop the fight.

Prates looked phenomenal knocked Leech out for a while... The Leech also did not look like a UFC fighter in there, I can't see him having much left.

If Leech has any fights left on his contract, he's probably best suited to fighting debuting guys at this point.

The Leech seemed to really want this to be the event where he learned how much he could take cause that seemed like extremely generous "defence". 🙃

Goes to show how much Tai lacks technique. He got absolutely picked apart and couldn't land anything. Super fun when he's in brawls but really poor when he's in technical fights. Jairzinho looked great, fought the perfect fight for his style.

Dan Hooker's career is pretty wild. Hooker vs. Poirier is one of the best fights I've ever watched live and he could easily have won that. He loses, gets smoked in 3 out of his next 4 by Chandler, Makhachev and Allen and somehow Jon Anik is now talking about him possibly getting a rematch with Makhachev if he can win tonight against Gamrot.

30-27 Tuivasa. f*** off. What a scorecard.

That is absurd.

Just realised this card has two of the luckiest fighters I've seen in Gamrot and Du Plessis.
If it helps it seems he's a New Zealand MMA coach/referee and now judge so.... Might have been a touch of bias there. Can't imagine he gets another invite to a UFC.
