15th of next month Finland will beat Lichenstein in Helsinki and make the tournament for the first time ever. This really is a dream come true and exactly what finnish football needs. I hope it starts a football mania in Finland and brings more people to finnish league games. This is insane! Feels so good.

Nope. Pretty much all the players in the national team play abroad so there's little chance of seeing them live. Plus the club sides continue to stink in the UEFA tournament qualifiers.

Well that's the only thing I'm confused about honestly and I should have made it clearer that this is based off the expected results (Belgium winning the group). Honestly don't know what happens if Russia wins the group and we aren't even certain Denmark will qualify but they are expected to. Regardless the draw will be a **** show as the whole field of teams won't even be known! The playoff matches are in March 2020, draw is in November
It's probably the last time the Nations League exist. What a total disaster.

Yes we do.

It's extremely unlikely but not 100% out of the question. The beautiful thing about sports is we never know what will the final outcome will be until it happens ;)

Also please note I'm joking, I don't actually believe they will go down....

Turkey qualify after a listless 0:0 draw with Iceland at home, overall boring game, Turkey didn't really try to win the game and were comfortable for the most part as Iceland don't have much quality outside of set pieces (they almost scored in the final 10 minutes, goal line clearance). France as well qualify and have 1st place in their control now if they win their remaining two matches. Iceland have the playoff backup and will now hope the likes of NED/SUI/CRO qualify automatically or else they will play one of them in their playoff league

The big match later today is Czech Rep vs. Kosovo which is essentially a playoff for 2nd place, its likely a match Kosovo need to win

Looks like he’s got his “vs Lithuania” game face on

Anyway, 96 international goals 7 minutes into this one

England up 5-0 over Montenegro at the half. Kane with a hatty.

France at home is only level with Moldova who opened the scoring. They’ll probably score 3-4 in the second half though.

Chilwell and Alexander-Arnold ran the first half. Chilwell was one of Klopp’s first targets and he would have fit like a glove at LFC.

Leicester is going to make the CL and then get raided

Czechs with 2 second half goals look like they’re going to get the pts and maintain their grip on second place over Kosovo going into the final match day.

Chilwell with 3 1st half assists, a corner, fk and a nice pass to Chamberlain. Gomez came on at RB with TAA moving into midfield. Maddison should start over Mount.

Apparently England fans were booing Joe Gomez. Are they daft? Booing the guy for being assaulted by some entitled wanna be thug, and restraining himself from reacting or smashing the guy? Oy.

Group A
England - Montenegro 7:0
Czech Rep - Kosovo 2:1

This group is done with one round to go, England win the group while the Czechs finish second, Kosovo guaranteed a playoff but their "glamor" tie against England at home is now pretty much meaningless. Bulgaria still have a shot at the playoffs despite being bottom of the group without a win in 7

Group B
Portugal - Lithuania 6:0
Serbia - Luxembourg 3:2

Easy win for Portugal as they need to beat Luxembourg away to qualify, Serbia almost embarrassed at home but managed to win. They must beat Ukraine at home on the final MD and hope Portugal somehow drop points. Serbia have the playoff backup, Luxembourg's chances are very slim now that Kosovo failed to qualify directly

Group H
Turkey - Iceland 0:0
Albania - Andorra 2:2
France - Moldova 2:1

Turkey's draw earlier in the day meant both France and Turkey qualify, however with Turkey dropping points it now gives France the advantage for first place. Iceland will have a playoff spot but at the moment they have no clue who they will be playing. Andorra got 4 points so far in this campaign and while its very much baby steps they are a team who are starting to get some results in the last few years

No mention of his sensational one touch goal from outside the 18?
It was aight.

No seriously, the guy has been a machine for Portugal scoring at well over a goal per game clip for the past 6 calendar years. I was being sarcastic with “vs Lithuania game face on” for the people who act as though every striker scores 4 and assists goals vs Lithuania every single game that Lithuania plays.

Some people in Finland have said that making it to the Euro 2020 is the biggest ever team-sport achievement for Finland.

Obviously there are hockey-fans or even basketball-fans who might slightly disagree.

Football is obviously a bigger sport than basketball but the difference isn't big enough to say that being 24th in Europe in football is a bigger achievement than being 9th in Europe in basketball. If they make the round of 16 at the Euros next summer, there will be cause for debate.

Some of these Finnish football hipsters think that winning your group in the Finnish 6th division in football is a bigger achievement than winning the Stanley Cup because hockey is such a minor sport.

In a 24 teams Euro it is not. 16 teams Euro probably.

And who would they beat to qualify? Greece, Armenia and Bosnia?Hardly world beaters.

Gold Medals in hockey and silver at Olympics would still rank in front.
