Fair enough. Italy probably would have slaughtered Denmark, especially with the way this match dragged out. If anything, England should be worried about putting together a much better effort against the Italians

Yeah the Italians will offer up a stiffer challenge. The Danes looked outmatched after the first half. Their defence played well but they couldn't create any chances and eventually they just got worn down. Tough call on the penalty especially given how well Vestergaard defended the whole game, and Schmeichel probably should have held onto the save, but England deserved the win and this should make for a pretty good final. The Italians should be favoured to win but it'll be at Wembley so that could factor into things. I don't see the Italians being bothered by playing essentially a road final though.

The difference here is that England is actually taking advantage of being the favoured side, unlike the Leafs. Not to take away from them making the finals but Italy will be the first big challenge of the tourney. (A Germany in transition was not much of one)

Well deserved, first finals in 55 years. Looks like Germany lost to one of the favourites, while France lost to…well…yeah.

On a serious note, I don’t think anyone should have expected England to lose to Denmark.

Yeah would have been nice to see France against Spain and then potentially France against Italy, but France wasn't really their best after their first game despite some really good play from Pogba, Kante and Benzema. Mbappe and the defence weren't great.

I just hope we get a really good final and both teams come out swinging and we see some chances at both ends. Nobody wants to see a sleepy, defensive 1-0 final.

Says someone defending two of the biggest colonizers in history. Not sure it’s even possible to calculate the murders committed by those two empires.

If we want to discuss the past 100 years (not sure why it keeps coming up?), China and the former USSR have much higher body counts, if it’s some sort of competition. Neither have apologized for these actions, and probably never will.

the Danes have a Viking past that raped and pillaged citizens for years in their attempt at conquest

This so much the case I didn't even watch. A semifinal of England Vs Denmark doesn't deserve any ratings and the a tourney could do more to prevent these disaster groups and brackets. England after Germany had a free path to the final. That said they beat Germany and so kudos to them.

Exactly. Them beating Germany shows they deserve this spot, the previous two matches should never have been in contest (they dispatched Ukraine pretty handily but Denmark was closer than it should have been).
