Sale will just have to take the bull by the horns himself I guess, the way we have played defense so far he should get his chances.

I just hope I get to watch the game, not sure if I am going to be called into work this morning or not yet, dreading the call.
I'll be in and out myself! Shame, i would've loved to had sat down and watched this uninterupted.. stupid bills!

Expecting a pounding against the US. Will be interesting to see how long we can stay in the game.

Its time for Eriksen and his company to go. Thank you for the 8-0 win and all that but this cannot go on.

0-0 after 2!

Nice work Germany. Swedes are keeping their unbelievable D going too!

3 goals in 3 games going in - all by Slovakia! Shut out Canada, Shut out Czechs and are currently shutting out Germany!

Heck, missed 20 seconds and the US has already scored.

A lot has been said about the groups being uneven, and while that made it very hard for Germany to finish in the top 4 in their group, I am kind of glad we did not have to face the US. That would have been extremely ugly, especially if it had been in one of the first games.

Averaging 9 goals a game.lol I expect that in women's hockey not U18 boys.lol
They are a tough ticket at this tournament, have to keep them to no more then 3 goals in order to have a chance tobeat them. The good news is that they don't seem to be a tower of power on defense this year, gives certain teams somewhat of a chance.

But how to keep their offense from rampaging, that's the problem.

I figure Canada and Sweden are the only 2 that could stop them. I can't see anyone else (this year) that can. Sweden seems like a perfect foil as they have a high end Defence and don't allow much. I'd like to see the match to be honest.

I'd be a bit concerned now as a Swedish fan. I don't want to take anything away from Germany's performance today and I realize there isn't much in the motivation department for Sweden today but they should still be winning this game comfortably, there isn't much push at all from them all game today and at this stage of the game at 0-0 you would think you would see it. Not what you would want to see before going into the money games.

Sweden should ride the guys who seem to have legs - Nordh/Zether/Kangas seem to have some jump. The rest look like they could use an espresso and some B12.
