I just felt like he was clumsy and awkward .. not sure it was his intent at all. I don't even think he wanted a big hit. He wanted the puck.

But... If it was a Czech and then happened to him I'd probably feel the same way you do

i'm not sure about that, lot's of talent on the team but I haven't really seen any bite in their game yet with one on one battles, etc.

As it stand right now their team game tops out as a bronze contender but no more, they will need to get a lot better in the games ahead.

Agreed. The defense is definitely not good enough. They are all Reillys and refuse to shoot. Slovakia's defense is much better offensively.

Close games on round Robins are a good thing. Same with early losses. Same formula at the skodas for a few years now.

Agreed. The defense is definitely not good enough. They are all Reillys and refuse to shoot. Slovakia's defense is much better offensively.

Not only the d-men but the team defense as a whole, they don't attack the puck carrier well at all yet, they fluff things off and collapse far too much in their own end and it's just dreadful to watch...................coach has to get this shit straightened out or they can forget about competing for gold, they won't get a sniff of that until it's rectified.

I was looking at it as 5 because the Canadian was about 3 feet from the boards. I agree with 2 if the referees felt the Slovak stumbled into him rather than intentionally hit him.

Hmm, well........................that isn't a high bar though CB it was an 8-0 drubbing, lol. Any result looks better then that.


They don't support each other on the puck competently whatsoever yet, it's a recipe for disaster. The coach should be able to see what's not being done well and work on that and he had better.
