Tyler Myers Appreciation Thread

I may be in the minority, but $6M a year, for five years is not a bad signing, especially in comparison to the Kulikov contract.

6M is not a bad deal at 5yrs.

I think Jets would have done that deal if there is cap space.

Its too bad they cant move some contracts.
Maybe they tried? No takers....

Myers was so open to staying too.
So i don't understand - if there was any talk at all or none.

Beyak will be heartbroken that TylerMyers (never Myers) is getting traded. He's running out of players who he always calls by their full name.

I wish Myers the best, he fought hard through injury and helped this team reach the next level. He seems like a genuinely good dude that wanted to be here. I hope he and his family love Vancouver.

Last time I will be able to use this, thanks for the memories good and bad

What a great guy, and a very underrated player around here. I'll miss his long strides and surprisingly elusive work with the puck in the offensive zone. Hopefully we can find someone who is more composed in our own zone to replace him.

Good luck Condor!

He found his game in Winnipeg after Buffalo, but rarely got to be "the guy." With top minutes and PP time in Vancouver he will probably put up career numbers at some point over the next 5 years.

Good guy. Played hard. Thanks Tyler Myers!

Signed for 1-1.5MM less than rumored, and 2 years less.

Another year or million bucks and Jets could have been in

Enjoy BC Giraffe. You drove me bonkers defending and moving the puck but you had dangles and seemed like a stand up dude. That contract is too rich for the Jets right now and that's probably for the best.

Very happy for Myers, but a little sad also, almost wistful.

The major pieces of our biggest trade ever are scattered all over the continent. And, of all of them--Tyler, Kane, Bogo, Lemieux-- the only player (and contract) I would willingly take back is Armia.

Good luck Tyler, stand up guy, a good soldier. Not your fault you're not worth what some will pay you.

But vitriol? I haven't seen a criticized Jets player receive more balanced criticism on HF than him. Wheeler gets at least 6 times the vitriol, and is far closer in value to his contract than Myers.
