This wasn't told to me so...it came out of left field.f***ing hell
Smells like a Jim Nill favor to Ty who was probably looking for a new start where he can play all the time.
I never disliked him as much as some on these boards. Sorry to see him go, unless he was looking for an unjustified raise.
You lying bastard...wait does this mean Suter is gone then?????Think Faksa stays one more season...
There’s no way we keep both. Unless we’re tanking next season. You lying bastard...wait does this mean Suter is gone then?????
That seems unlikely for the perennial "champion of the off-season."I’m a little worried jimmy just stands pat with what we have and will have a worse roster while everyone around us improves. Hope I’m wrong though

I think he signs both Tanev and Duchene, plus has another trick or two up his sleeve.
I think you’re right. Part of me still worries though lolThat seems unlikely for the perennial "champion of the off-season."

I'm preparing myself for the Stars keeping Suter when the panic about knowing Tanev is gone. If they then also bought out Suter, they'd be left with only three NHL d-men on the roster. You lying bastard...wait does this mean Suter is gone then?????
With what money? If they buyout Suter and re-sign Tanev, they'd have about $4 to $4.5 million to sign Duchene AND a Suter replacement. That only really leaves $3 to $3.5 million for Duchene if you go bear minimum or ELC (Bichsel) on the Suter replacement.
He’s said several times that money is not an issue and has made a ton in his career. If he wants to stay, he will take that amount. Plus, he’s still getting paid by Nashville. Also, if he wanted a raise from Nill, he shouldn’t have shit the bed in the playoffs. Why in the world is Duchene taking $3.5 million? How is that realistic? I'm all for a huge team discount, but I wouldn't bet on it.
