Rather than « revisiting » (aka self-flagellation), I’m looking forward to a day when we’ll get a thread title that buries a bungled opportunity for good so that we no longer have to relive and recycle toxic by-product.

People talk about this swap a lot but what makes me reach for the bottle every time is remembering we got Hoffman that summer

I don't know, bit of a wash for me. KK ain't something special and Dvo fills the need for a 3C. Dach and Newhook seem more complete players at C, unfortunately injuries are proving, they are fragile and Kent may be a better overall GM, but may have lost those trades. Hopefully, they can rebound. Either way, KK was unhappy here, wouldn't have ended well and the Habs would have gotten less in an eventual trade. Bottom line, they missed on Brady. Dvo was Bergy's panic move.

Not brutal. Not good. Not bad. Anyway Newhook and Dach looks better than KK on top 6 role. KK have all tools and great talent, but miss something to be a dominant player.

Dvorak isn't flashy, but he is a ok 3C. Perfect to wait for the real great two-way C, Owen Beck. Big hope for Beck!!

I haven't watched him this year or much at all since he left so I don't know what's going on with him. I figured at some point he would be a 50 ish pt center, still think that will happen. I found some Canes fans opinions interesting on the trade board,
