I just finished both seasons on Netflix. I have really mixed feelings. Cranston was tremendous, but it feels like 50% tremendous prestige drama and 50% aimless missed potential.

Just the first episode even though they sent critics the first six. When I do weekly coverage of a show I try not to have any foreknowledge. I'll probably watch episode 2 on Friday so I have plenty of lead time to write about it.

Season 1 was well done. Season 2 dragged

Yeah. It went way off the rails in season 2. Ultimately left the series disappointed. It just kept spoon-feeding us shit with characters who were awful but for some reason they decided we should care about. It was a waste of what started out as an amazing premise and great first couple episodes of s1.

I should try and rewatch Stranger Things. Years ago I tried but couldnt get thru episode one. I think it was mainly because I went into it thinking it was about UFOs or some sort of spirits.
