Just first first three eps of Dune Prophecy and I'm not sure what to think of it. Right now it feels like a handful of events being told, none of which (at the moment) are related.

The one complaint I do have (which is what is making things so puzzling) is the fact that they keep going back and forth in time from present day to the past then back. Makes it hard to get a grasp of just what the main storyline is.

I said the same thing to my gf. I don't understand the constant time jumps on a lot of shows these days. I get that it was cool when Pulp Fiction came out, but that was 30 years ago.

Anyway, I found the first few episodes of Dune confusing, but it doesn't help that I'm watching hockey on another screen and maybe surfing the net. Maybe my lack of attention comes from not really caring about the show so far.

That is one weird show......and I do like it. Just starting season 2.

Wait until the you meet the new character, Solo.

Good movie but maybe take a break? 😂

You worded that nicer than my gf.

I watched it at home this weekend after seeing in in the theater on Friday. The only thing that drives her more crazy than me watching Interstellar 100+ times is whenever I put on Shawshank. That one I've watched probably 200+ times. I do enjoy it, but I also enjoy watching her wince (like watching our Rangers defense) and complain about it. (wait, we do that, too).

Trust me -- I made sure to pay close attention (don't know if you saw my earlier posts, but I am a Bene Gesserit fanatic) and you can take my word that lack of attention did not lead to your confusion. I am as confused as you are.

That movie confused the living shit out of me to the point I still can’t explain the plot (if there was one?)

Much prefer ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ for operatic, dystopian SciFi.

I don't know how many times I have researched wormholes, black holes, theory of relativity, string theory, etc. I even bought the book "The Science of Interstellar" by Nobel Prize winning Physicist Kip Thorne. Shockingly, most of the movie is theoretically possible.

2001: A Space Odyssey is definitely a classic.

Good to know that it's not just me. Shockingly, my gf can be on the phone shopping on Tory Burch and looking at Instagram, but somehow follows along pretty well. I'll pause it and ask, so what is happening here?

So I watched a movie called 'Threads' last night. UK production, had to get it via YouTube.

I did not sleep a wink is how terrifying it was. The honesty is brutal.

If you've seen it you know what I mean. If not.......it's a very good movie; but having said that it's not for everyone. Most definitely inappropriate for anyone under the age of maybe 16-17 due to subject matter.

It was released in 1984. From what I understand Reagan watched it and strongarmed the networks into not showing it.

I have always heard how terrifying and realistic this movie is. I almost watched it on Mubi during my one-week free trial to see "The Substance", but I ran out of time that week. I just saw that it's on Tubi for free with ads. I might have to finally see it.

Keep in mind...this is coming from someone who still can't figure out Pulp Fiction.

I just watched episode 4 and I can say this: (a) I still don't know where this is going; (b) I have no clue what the significance of this last episode is; and (c) I'm still as confused as ever regarding what the main storyline is supposed to be.

I watched Carry-On. Taron Egerton is a TSA agent at LAX being blackmailed by baddie-with-a-sense-of-humor Jason Bateman to allow a powerful nerve agent through for a flight to DC so that a security bill can be passed post-tragedy to make defense contractors rich.

Fun and entertaining flick. The plot is outlandish, so requires big suspension of disbelief. Jason Bateman is really good, as he always is playing shady characters.

Been 10 years since Egerton did Kingsman. He's aged a bit.

Since you like sci-fi, Moon is streaming on Prime. Much smaller film than Interstellar, but I think you’d dig it.

Edit - Nevermind they pulled it for December apparently.

Moon was pretty good (recommend to watch) but shouldn’t be mentioned with Interstellar as a reference

Did we just become best friends? Ha

I saw it in the theater and really liked it. I've always been a big Sam Rockwell fan.

It was entertaining, but definitely requires some suspension of disbelief, especially what they let him do at the end amongst other things. The CGI was a little funny, too.

Bad Sisters is da bomb!!!! Especially season 1.

i'm still confused by Prophecy.

I've watched most of the Apple shows, but for some reason I haven't gotten past the first episode of Bad Sisters. My brother likes it. I'll have to give it another shot. I love Slow Horses and I had a hard time getting into episode 1.

I'm hate-watching the Billy Crystal show "Before". It might even be worse than Invasion.

I can't wait for Severance.

Pachinko is amazing. I've been trying to get my friend to watch it forever and he finally started binging it. He loves it. It's in mostly Korean and Japanese with a sliver of English thrown in.

Another lesser-known favorite of mine is Acapulco. It's a half English/half Spanish comedy, but it's one of those shows I just enjoy watching like Lodge 49.

I thought the in-car close-quarters fight was nicely done, with the multi-angle one continuous shot.

I am biased towards Brit bits, so I had no trouble getting into Sisters or Slow Horses (and Oldman has been a delight from the beginning). Now Severance I had problems with but stuck with it and haven't regretted it.

I really like Logan Marshall Green, so I'll give it a look see

I wouldn't even know if you didn't mention. Had to look up who he plays. Last time I saw him was in Prometheus.

I didn't want to mention it, but that scene stands out. I liked the camera-work and concept, but I thought it looked pretty fake. At least that's what I thought at the time.

Oh crap, that's who it was. I didn't recognize him at first, but I knew he looked familiar. I saw Upgrade in the theater 5-6 years ago and loved it.
