Agree. It was funny, and I thought the kid stole the show. Just felt they could've taken the unconventional premise further. It was like 3/4 of a Coen brothers movie.

Had to look up the voice of woman on phone. Interesting.
Kept saying to my sister "She's like older but not old... like Demi Moore but not"

Ironic because I just mentioned The Substance also

Eh, ok to pass IMO. My wife is a big fan of these actors but even she (or maybe because of being a fan) was greatly disappointed. Without spilling beans in a one supposedly breath-holding slo-mo scene she predicted exactly what was going to happen...
Just goes to show... to each their own.

I like Pitt but Clooney I'm take it or leave it.

I felt it was a really funny & entertaining flick.

I'm probably not the target audience but I watched the first two Skeleton Crew episodes with my youngest and they were kind of fun with some nice touches of nostalgia.
It feels like a premise that someone came up with and then decided to shove into the Star Wars universe, and obviously it requires a huge suspension of belief, but it sets the grounds for what should be a fun little adventure story. It was weird and fun to see Star Wars suburbia, the child cast all do a decent job, and the naming of the droid while obvious in hindsight was low-key hilarious.
Will happily watch the rest of the series if they can keep it at that level

Starting Dune Prophecy -- mainly because I've always loved the Bene Gesserits. However, I am getting the feeling it's going to end up the same as the GOT spinoffs: couldn't watch them because of my total dislike of the Targaryens.... As for dune, I despite the Harkonens just as much.... am quite disappointed to find that Harkonens were seeds of the BGs.

So I watched a movie called 'Threads' last night. UK production, had to get it via YouTube.

I did not sleep a wink is how terrifying it was. The honesty is brutal.

If you've seen it you know what I mean. If not.......it's a very good movie; but having said that it's not for everyone. Most definitely inappropriate for anyone under the age of maybe 16-17 due to subject matter.

It was released in 1984. From what I understand Reagan watched it and strongarmed the networks into not showing it.

Finished Conclave.....interesting movie....not for people who like action stuff....honestly didnt see the ending coming.

Anyone take a gander at Juror #2 with Nicholas Hoult?

The Penguin was very good and easy to watch in between traveling with only eight episodes. It really is like The Batman 1.5 and they can dedicate the B or C-plot of the next movie to Sofia and Oz. Plus it tips that Hush could be the next villain not Mr. Freeze (or sets him up for the third one).

X-Men 97 was great. Bonkers how many plotlines they fit in with only ten episodes. It was so heavy and pretty much made for grownups.

I saw a new movie in Imax yesterday called Interstellar. Just kidding, I've easily seen it 100+ times, including 3 times this week.

It was great to see it in IMax. Oddly, when I saw it 10 years ago in the theater, I liked it, but didn't love it. One of those movies I grew to love with multiple viewings like Fight Club.

The other day I went to see "A Real Pain". It was fantastic and I couldn't stop thinking about it days after seeing it, well until the Trouba news and then Interstellar. Kieran Culkin should get an Oscar nomination.

Lioness. For the fans of the Homeland this is very close.

Season 2 has been excellent. Better than the first season imo.

As far as the Madness, I like Domingo Coleman. I thought it was ok at first, but it dragged on and honestly, I couldn't wait for it to end.

I started re-watching the Gomorrah series for the 4th time. It's still great.

Not sure how I feel about Dune Prophecy so far.

Billy Bob is carrying Landman.

I have to watch the latest episode of Before, but I still don't know what's going on after 7 episodes.

Silo is still a sort of enjoyable slow burn, but it helps that I love Rebecca Ferguson.

Thanks for the heads up on Madness....I've been torn as to whether I will finish it. Now I won't.

Will await your "review" of Prophecy....can't say I'm very impressed with it either.

That movie confused the living shit out of me to the point I still can’t explain the plot (if there was one?)

Much prefer ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ for operatic, dystopian SciFi.

‘Gladiator II’ was pretty damn good for what it is-‘Swords & Sandals’ with maximum gore on a massive budget.

‘Ol Ridley still has his fastball.

Almost time for my annual ‘Violent Night’ rewatch. It’s Gen Z’s ‘A Christmas Story’; 15 years hence, TNT will be running it 24 hours on Christmas Day.

The ending wasn't easily grasped. But, yes, really liked it.

I toughed Madness out....it was OK ....far from the greatest . I also watched- Joan - a British drama and I liked it . Hard to fault Sophie Turner and them giraffe legs . I might watch GOT 's now LOL....and YES....we are loving Lioness season 2 .

Just first first three eps of Dune Prophecy and I'm not sure what to think of it. Right now it feels like a handful of events being told, none of which (at the moment) are related.

The one complaint I do have (which is what is making things so puzzling) is the fact that they keep going back and forth in time from present day to the past then back. Makes it hard to get a grasp of just what the main storyline is.

Totally random, but I came across the Dawson’s Creek theme song today and couldn’t help thinking: damn that intro song really hits differently when you’re in your late 30s than when you’re a kid. Then you hear the words and see the show’s intro (I never saw it; decided to look it up after watching the AP Bio episode “Katie Holmes Day”) and really see how optimistic the 90s were. Anyway, just something that gave me pause and made me reflect.
