I picked up SEG+ UtahHC+ season package just before the Sunday game. Somethings were great, and some not so good, and I am wondering if others have also experienced these same things.
First, the good ... All last season, the Scripps broadcast carried over Cox Communications was low def and very annoying in these days of high-def everything. The UtahHC+ was definitely high def and a welcome upgrade. That said, whenever they zoomed in on a fast paced play, the edge of the players uniforms were digitizing. Not the entire screen, just the transitions from color to white at the edge of the uniforms. Anyone else notice that? It wasn't an unbearable feature, but it was a bit distracting.
The score and shot count graphic was cut off at the left side. I could not see the visiting team (UHC) score or shot count. Did others experience this? Or is it an adjustment I have to make? Given that they never presented a penalty clock, I was guessing this was just pre-season "cheap" graphics and hopefully things get better during the regular season.
Finally, probably the biggest issue ... During the 3rd period, I paused for 10-15 minutes to wash the dishes. I came back, and started watching again, and sort of forgot that I was 10-15 minutes behind. With 4 minutes left in the game, the stream shut down and said it was no longer available. I can only assume this is due to the fact that I was trying to watch 15 minutes or so after the stream had shut down. Is this typical for streamed sports broadcasts? Will I have to always have to be nearly caught up by the time the game is ending?
