He came up big today.
Huge.
Sooooo, if "tapping out" of 3 supposedly big games in 4 years is enough for folks to claim a pattern and draw conclusions, what about 3 stellar performances in the last 3 huge games?
Call up Zane and leave Rask home for this trip?
Nope ,No special treatments. Team sticks together
Like I said then its his opportunty for redemption and push back at his critics for all of the last two weeks are 'big games' until otherwise proven different.
Good on him so far.

I must've misinterpreted something then because i basically agree with everything except for Beers knowing more than he lets on. Sorry
Years ago the London Knights flew Patty Kane to a few playoff games while the rest of the team took the long bus ride --team killer, right? London went on to win the championship sooooo I'm pretty sure it means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
If Rask isn't starting then you leave him behind as it would be silly to fly him all the way to Chicago and back just to sit on the bench all game on a back-to-backer. He only would get into the game if we were already behind.
100% ... leave Rask behind, he did more today than the rest of the team combined anyway.

I agree with you but pushing the critics back to the shadows doesn't do much --he can have 5 straight amazing games (today he was the only reason we got 2pts) but if he has 1 off game the critics will come charging back with their "told ya so" attitude.
The Bruins got completely outworked and outplayed today, Rask broke the Panther's spirits until the PP in the final minutes.

Sure seems like something clicked into him with the critcism.
Great to see him dialed in and playing to his capabilities the past 3 games. Keep it going!
I still don't get the Olympics one. Rask had the flu and still pitched a shutout in the Bronze Medal game (the most important game for Finland). Did he miss the semi final game against Canada? Yes, but they were going to lose that game regardless of who was in net. The Bronze medal game could have gone either way and he played amazing against the US who ended up without a medal again. Pointing to the Olympics ignores the fact that he played in the most important game for his while still feeling the affects of the flu which should completely nullify the argument of Rask not playing in big games and faking sick/injured.
That's not a bad though at all. Unfortunately Subban is on the DL in Providnece and Vlady has been called up from Atlanta to be the back up. They also play tonight and tomorrow afternoon so McIntyre would be unavailable me thinks.
Moot point because Rask is accompanying the team to Chicago, but Subban came in relief for a struggling Vladar in the first period last night. So he's not on the DL.
I was hoping to see Z-Mac, but he was resting after a 36 save performance the night before.
Nice to see Rask returning to his old form. It funny as hell watching so many people who torn him apart flip flop and praise him now lol. With that, he's played well but the biggest test are coming up after the CHI game. He needs to continue to play well and hopefully we can grab the #2/#3 spot in the Atlantic and not have to face WSH in round 1.
