My daughter moved from Indy to Minnesota over the weekend. I think shes going to see cold like never before.
The 2005 Honda I gave her years ago died too. So I shipped her the Brides car and bought the Bride a new car Friday. Always something.

Wood stove was rocking last night, closed the bedroom doors, living room 78, bedrooms 60. Shorts, Tshirts. We added 4' of height to our chimney this summer and it has made a big difference so far. Woodstock Soapstone catalytic wood stove.

Its a dry heat lol.

This is mind boggling about the house fire in our village last week. The family was home and they still think the fire started from the rider mower that was put in the garage after use. This story was in our local paper and quotes the mother.

They are a family of 7 with 5 kids. The Dad went to have a shower after cutting the grass. One of the kids, who is 11 years old, looked outside and saw the fire. She yells to her Mom to come to look because the garage is on fire. The mother says she didn't believe her, so didn't go to see. I don't know how much time passed, but then another child who was upstairs, looked out her window and saw a "big fire". She yelled to everyone, her Dad came out of the shower, who then looked and called 911.

OMG, people amaze me - how can you not look if your child tells you something is on fire? The fire spread quickly and engulfed two vehicles in the driveway and then the house. The whole thing is gone. My daughter, the lawyer, wonders whether their story is going to affect the insurance claim now. I mean, if the Mom had acted, it may only have been the garage!

One thing that didn't occur to me.... with the large deer population in my new neighborhood comes an abundance of.....poop. My neighbor said I might as well not bother picking up after Hattie lol.

Now I just hope Hattie doesn't decide to find a pile of poo to roll in :help:

I'm assuming she's in the Twin Cities? Depending on her parking situation at her new place, investing in an engine block heater is definitely worth considering.

Finally done with the storms in my area. Hopefully the storms out there fizzle as fast as they keep spinning up. I am so going to bed at 5pm today. I need all the sleep I can get.

Right now she’s in Inver Grove Heights. Staying with friends while she looks for an apartment.
She’s looking for one with under ground garage.
