Most expect Turrcotte to be moved to the wing eventually.Kopitar-Danault-Byfield-4th line center. He's too good to be only getting 10 min of icetime on the 4th line.

Devils have the exact same problem, too many pass first guys adding another for the only real shoot first guy doesn’t make a lot of sense.
I wouldn't consider Turcotte a pass first player. He's a pretty well rounded offensive player, and has a history playing with Jack Hughes.

Holtz's all around game leaves a lot to be desired, and we are weak enough defensively as it is. I'd much rather have the better all around player in Turcotte, who can play center or wing.

Holtz/Hughes are a perfect match. Elite shooters are not easy to find, and you are wasting Jack Hughes without one.

Having said that, I do think the Kings are wasting Turcotte. I actually hope he gets traded somewhere at this stage.

Hed be a good winger. But Kopitar only has two more years left on his contract and Turcottes career is just starting. If things go very right and its Byfield-Turcotte-Danault in a couple seasons they would be in good shape. If Kopitar wants to keep playing put him on Byfields wing. Two big guys like that would be a force.

Looks like they will try him at center first and see where it goes. It might be another Kempe situation where it might take a few years to figure out if he is better suited at wing or center. I am not worried to much which position he plays as long as he produces and finds a role in our top 6.
