I know Trouba is everyone’s whipping boy but he is coming back from injury so he deserves a few games to get up to speed. That being said, he looks atrocious and Miller looks atrocious with him. There going to have to shelter him to get him back up to speed, just throwing him out there like this isn’t helping the team and it’s not going to help Trouba either. Like should Trouba really be force fed Crosby when he’s in his second game back and he looks like it’s preseason?

I feel like that game felt and looked worse than it was. Some bad luck, sloppy passes, poor officiating and a few bad giveaways leading directly to goals against. Trouba’s on the first and Cuylle on the second was even worse. I’d still like to see Igor stop that breakaway in that situation but what are you gonna do.

I hate our captain, but I will never hate anything in hockey as much as I hate the Pittsburgh Penguins. I know all the cool kids hate the local rivals, but the Penguins have been gifted not one, not two, not three, but FOUR supreme generational talents in pairs resulting in 5 cups in the time I've watched hockey while I would give my left nut just to eke out a second one before I drop f***ing dead.

I always used to think Miller-Trouba could just work, but it really never has. That Girardi-esque turnover by Troubs was the beginning of the end and if he pulls that shit in the playoffs early in a game it will lobotomize this entire team. We still outplayed them for most of the game but holy f*** what a frustrating loss. Maybe they're thinking too ahead about the Devils matchup

You are dead on but - in a game like this he would have been a presence on the forecheck which Lavy mentioned 828 on his post game he knew was going in - bad call sitting him this one.

Also in general coaching was bad this one especially last 10 min
