Somehow the NBA ends at the same time and casual fans tune into that.A casual fan does not give a shit about hockey in June. Season needs to end sooner.
Hmm, I wonder why.Somehow the NBA ends at the same time and casual fans tune into that.
They market their stars and people want to see them. The NHL has tried to do that with McDavid and hockey fans turn on the guy.Hmm, I wonder why.
Bah, the Canucks C is more toilet seaty, if it wasn't for that whale.

I don't see this as a problem. The problem is while it's June and nice out I don't buy these excuses. Somehow the NBA runs at the same time and people tune into the NBA finals.
IMO the issue is many hockey fans in Canada only car about their team.
Canucks fans biggest fear, another team wins a cup while they remain cupless. You also have to remember that alot of fans are not watching out of stress/fear bc they don't want to see Edmonton winning a cup

Yea well I wanted you guys to win....I don't wanna see edmonton win
Cant speak for all of Canada but here in Van, almost everyone i know through the hockey community ( beer league, coaching, friends etc) are not watching the games at all. They might tune in to Sportcentre at the end of the night to see the score and highlights but thats about it. Summer weather is here with plenty of things to do and its hard to convince people to watch a game that their team is not playing in.
Especially with both the NBA and NFL over. And here we have a 2 day break between game 4 and 5, again for 5 and 6, and if game 7....another 2 days between 6 and 7.
Terrible scheduling
