I think people should realize bigger isn't always better. Its the same issue with those like 500 players best draft-eligible list. It's just stretching things way too far. There really isn't going to be much of a difference between your 200th and your 250th guy in value or ability. Any draft or prospect ranking should never really go much past 100. Even a draft list past 75 as an individual is stretching it.

I'm not going to nitpick this to death. Obviously, there are things I disagree with, but anytime someone tries to rank 15 players that is probably going to happen so at 250 its just too much. Its better to be narrowly focused but have great knowledge on those players than just going for quantity. When it comes to draft coverage, I literally don't care about anything past about 80 on anyone's list because pretty much anyone after that essentially has a no-draft grade.

I loved where you put Kaapo Kakko and Zac Jones. Though K’Andre Miller should be closer to or even higher than Adam Fox imo. But many people are sleeping on him so I don’t blame you. And I think Shestyorkin should be top 3, but it’s no big deal. Great list.

One thing I will point is Justin Brazeau. He technically isn't our property as he has an AHL Deal and likely shouldn't be included. A guy like Yegor Korshkov may be more suiting at that spot, as he was ranked higher then SDA in our rankings.

Anyhow great job ranking 250 prospects. I hope to continue seeing your outlooks and insights on players and prospects around the league.

I agree with you.

About 6 months ago I ranked my top 22 and under players including NHL players. I got to about 125 players roughly and afterwards I could have been swayed for the players after that, the rankings were so close that it became almost useless for me to continue. I couldn't imagine doing 250, that's be so coin flip after a while for me.

Samberg (WPG) is too low, in my view. He's definitely ahead of Stanley and Nikkanen for the Jets.

Certainly would rearrange the Wings prospects a bit and would have some higher and lower (specifically I'm lower on Svechnikov and Grewe, higher on Berggren, and Lindstrom) but I imagine that's the case for every fan base. You ranked 250 players largely off of your own viewings and it's a decent list--that's impressive

That list cant be great with Seider and Broberg so low, it just cant... Seider should be top 5 and Broberg top 10. Overall, fowards are decently ranked, but when it comes to defensemen, thats awful... Quinn Hughes is an exceptional skater, very dynamic offensively and all, but he puts himself out of position alot, tends to do too much, is really undersized and his defensive game needs alot of work, guys like Byram Seider Broberg should all be ranked ahead...

If that list is based on long term projections, I would call it a fail...

I had him ranked 4th overall last draft, Seider has the potential to be just as good offensively as he already is defensively while Hughes will be mainly a PP specialist, a guy that will cost his team as much at even strength as he will generate offense... Between the all around beast Seider is going to be and the defensively challenged puckmover Hughes will be, the choice is rather easy... Most people have no clue how great Seider is going to be...
