Probably a conditional 1st if there is any chance of convincing the Sens to trade him to the East.Soo... Rask + Fleury + ??

Yep, I just don't have much insight into how good Dallas is with this stuff. I know people have loved their jumbotron antics for years. I just wonder if they do features like this that we learned from, or if our staff just saw they at a higher level in general and is putting their own spin on it. Either way, great stuff.
I never in my wildest dreams thought that we would have this type of embarrassment of riches when it comes to defensemen considering some of the lineups we've put on the ice. This is incredible and no one can take a night off because someone is looking to take you spot. I also agree with Anton. These CanesVisions are wonderful to watch.
Dundon took the entire media production staff to a Stars game last year IIRC.My guess is probably the latter. I think Canesvision did ok within their limits, but they were seriously behind the curve compared to what most pro sports orgs were doing (as we are seeing now). My hypothesis is that Dundon remembered going to a Stars game at one point and literally called them and said “please show these people what it’s supposed to look like”.

Conditional 1st if the Hurricanes make the playoffs and are able to re-sign Duchene, conditional 2nd if they are only able to do one of the two.Probably a conditional 1st if there is any chance of convincing the Sens to trade him to the East.
Successful PTO is successful
Was he on a NHL PTO or AHL PTO? I can’t remember.Manny Malhotra was the last guy to make it on a PTO that i can recall.

Good memory, I think he may have signed an AHL-only contract then we signed him in ~December.
At the end of the 2013 NHL season, Malhotra became an unrestricted free agent. After being unsigned by an NHL team at the start of the 2013–14 season and looking to continue his playing career Malhotra signed a 25-game professional try out (PTO) contract with the AHL's Charlotte Checkers.[47] The Carolina Hurricanes signed Malhotra to a one-year two way contract on October 31[48] and he made his Carolina debut against the New York Rangers on November 2.

True. But Fleury has had a really solid camp so far too. All I know is if we don't make a trade we will be benching a guy that deserves to be an NHL player no matter what.
Handedness, and also I think we really lose something with Fleury if he spends a big portion of his 22 y/o season sitting idle.
Everybody is sort of forgetting Fleury is waiver exempt. Best thing for him, assuming he doesn't make the top 6 is to go down to Charlotte and play 20 minutes a night, get some powerplay time, and continue to hone his game. I'm of the mind that he's actually had a good camp/pre-season despite a few brain farts. Give him a year in Charlotte and I think we'd all be surprised with what we've got. Otherwise, he's still a fairly valuable trade chip as part of a package.
I don't disagree...but how will that affect his play and desire to be part of the organization? Gotta be tough to establish yourself as an NHL player for a year (even if it's as a #6), then go back to the AHL because the team acquired more guys that slot ahead of you. Does it help or hurt his development after a year in the bigs?Everybody is sort of forgetting Fleury is waiver exempt.
