Speculation: Trotz: "If we don't get it going, then I'm going to start our rebuild plan."

Dude sounds like JR here, but that makes you look incompetent. When JR says crazy shit you kind of accept it on a certain level because he has won multiple times. Trotz first year on the job with a massive spending offseason and he threatens a rebuild after 3 weeks?
 
kinda looks like his inexperience is showing here. you're not going to rip up the whole plan 12 games into the season to rebuild. youre just trying to set a fire under the players.

The team is not that far from being competitive. I said it before the season started Stammer and March need a playmaking 2C to be effective. With ROR the only play making C on the roster he can not center both of the top lines.

The team has played some fugly hockey this far. Yet again they are struggling to move the puck effectively. By the time the puck gets to the scoring forwards the lanes have been shut down.

I am not suprised that the calls after just 10 games is fire the coach and how bad the Stammer and March signings were.

I find it hard to believe a guy that spent that many years coaching, and interacting with GMs/player management, would be THAT naive. As suggested, this feels like attempting to motivate and also a possibility he pivots slightly if the Preds continue to struggle--e.g. accept this is a lost year, trade off role player vets (Gus, Schenn, Lauzon, etc...) and young players not in the future plans and reload for next year.

Guess that "rebuild" is coming sooner than later since being down 3-0 24 minutes into a game is not exactly a sign the current team is about to get it "going".

We suck but we're also down Sissons and Novak with an already shitty center core and we're playing the worst goalie in the league vs the cup champs. Hardly expected a close game tonight.

Yes. This team looks shittier than our expansion years and we have a Norris winner, a 48 goal scorer and an elite goalie on our team. I've heard players say that Brunette's system is complex, if it's so complex that players can't understand it it needs changing and Bruno refuses to do that.

Not trying to rub it in I swear but how come Trotz didn't sign Lankinen? Could've been had for a mil.
