Was 2015-16 the year Michael Owen played 8 games for stoke

Was Madrid the fourth semi finalist in 2005?

He would've been on the Man U finalist team in 2011...

EDIT: nope he played for Stoke in 2012-13. Nuts

So here are some other fun names from that Stole team

GK - Jack Butland & Shay Given
DEF - Marc Muniesa, Geoff Cameron
MID - Stephen Ireland, Charlie Adam, Gianni Imbula, Marko van Ginkel
FWD - Peter Odemwingie

Just a wacky group

Wild stat of the day (easy really).

Name the french players who scored in both a WC and EC semi final.

Must admit I didn't remember this at all.

The German players transfer record fees during the last 40 years:

1984: K-H Rummenigge Bayern to Inter Milan 5.5M
1989: Klinsmann Stuttgart to Inter 6.5M
1990: T.Hassler Köln to Juventus 7.8M

And then there was a guy 8 years later who broke that record by a large margin. This player isn't remembered all that much, and his transfer was not to a massive club. Weird amount in retrospect.

Who is this guy?

His german transfer record fee lasted almost 10 years before it was broken by Miroslav Klose's transfer from W.Bremen to B.Munchen.

Current record is Havertz with 80M €.

Not Effenberg.

This player is originally from East Germany and is still involved with the club where he moved away for this record fee.

I guessed that our Union Berlin fan @cgf would probably know the answer.
