Another kid who's lost sight of what made him to begin with. Score a few goals. Get some PP time. All of a sudden he's a scorer. Would argue Geekie has taken a similar turn after a career year. Beecher too. Maybe even Koepke with a similar hot start. Why you don't give long term money to role players.

Wouldn't shock me if he turns it around in another organization. All of the guys in this league were scorers at one one point. What they've always strived for I'm sure. Going to be humbled soon. I've said my piece before about going all-in with these pompous entitled college boys. That's the Sweeney mold.

He just hasn’t been much of a point producer at any level.

I don’t think he becomes anything significantly better than what he is right now.

Good enough 3rd liner, good defensively, scores some goals from the perimeter.

When they get shut out, I know my first thought is go take a dump on the third line wing making 2 mil.

He's struggling for sure, but he's kinda middle of the pack for that on this club. I mean their top line center has just one more pt on the year, but hardly a whisper about that guy.

Hes getting dumped on because it's a contract year for him and so they have a decision to make. I have always defended/liked him, but I wouldn't spend the money to keep him unless its similar to his last contract, hopefully someone will give up assets thinking he's a gritty player.

Bottom line when you're 3rd and 4th liners you can't afford to take nights off effort wise, it's a bare minimum for depth players to at least give a solid effort every game.

Amazing you can say his contract is the issue with a straight face. If that were the case his struggles are only going to make the next contract cheaper, and he's already far outperformed the one he's on.

I would send him upstairs in a heartbeat. If that doesn’t get him going, then ship him to St. Louis with Monty! What the hell happened to this kid.
