3 goals and a team leading +5 (next best was a +2)
Not too shabby of a start to his 2024 playoff run

Bang on but he was last pick (I think of round)T-Fred has finally started to become a nifty little player. First round pick worthy? No. But worth keeping around now? Hell yeah. He puts up points, is a physical force, and is a true two way player. Glad to be proven wrong about Frederic.

Name them. Not first round worthy? Frederic is indisputably better than at least 18 players drafted in the first round his draft year. There is only one player taken in the second round (DeBrincat) that is even arguably a better player than Frederic, and there are probably teams out there that would take Frederic between the two.
Fans have a misconception about first round draft picks. Most of them are complete busts.
Funny, I counted 20 that he’s better than but if for some reason you wanted to slot Jost and Kunin above him it’s 18.Name them.
Like I said, name them. I’m not saying it’s untrue, but I want to see the criteria being used as evidence for the claim.Funny, I counted 20 that he’s better than but if for some reason you wanted to slot Jost and Kunin above him it’s 18.

So again, name them…
It's a step in the right direction for him for sure. With some added depth this year with the money they have to spend he should have a bit more help on line 3 this year too.Thought he played very well in the Toronto series. Florida series he didn’t do much but he was more involved than previous playoff runs.
Also played a lot fewer games than many of the abovePujilijarvi
Joulevi
Bean
Steel
Nylander
Brown
Mcleod
Stanley
Bellows
Cholowski
Gauthier
Borgstrom
Rubstov
Jones
Tufte
Johansen
16 guys above I think no question he's better.
Fabbro
Howden
Kunin
Jost
4 above I think you could make arguments either way. Overall he's 24th in points for the draft class with a solid defensive game. Hindsight it was a pretty good pick in the spot.
Well he wasn’t a healthy scratch so he must have impressed,he was a nightmare in game six against Florida.Thought he played very well in the Toronto series. Florida series he didn’t do much but he was more involved than previous playoff runs.
He’s definitely better than those 4 guys too, I don’t think the other team hesitates if we offer Frederic for one of those 4Pujilijarvi

He’s also not a smurfDeBrincat is a very good scorer, but "IS" a defensive liability. Trent is a better 2 way player that is offensively frustrating. Sometimes he looks like he's ready, other times it's the same inconsistency that
seems to infect a lot of the B's(DeBrusk, Coyle, Zacha)
Who would you want on the ice protecting a 1 goal lead in the last minute?(not thinking about an empty net goal either, but being stuck in your own end)
Thought he was very good against Toronto and then didn’t do a whole lot against Florida (which I guess you could say the same for most of the forward group)Maybe it’s me, but I didn’t really notice him I. The playoffs.
So if Boston offered Freddy straight up for DeBrincat, Detroit says yes? Really?DeBrincat is a very good scorer, but "IS" a defensive liability. Trent is a better 2 way player that is offensively frustrating. Sometimes he looks like he's ready, other times it's the same inconsistency that

Did not say that. I said they're 2 different players with 2 different purposes on a team. DeBrincat is a scorer and a consistent one. He'll never be confused with a defensively responsible player. So if Boston offered Freddy straight up for DeBrincat, Detroit says yes? Really?
