It's not. Earlier in the season I mentioned that Coyle led the league in takeaways among centers. He's still leading the league.If so I'm surprised it took this long. The stat is readily available on Hockey Reference.

I think it's a very useful stat. Whenever I hear about a player the Bruins might acquire I look up his career average in hits and takeaways. Players who work hard usually do one or the other frequently. It gives me a sense of their 'compete' level.
