Crazy how far opinions can sway year by year on Frederic. I’ve gone from telling everyone to cool their jets and overestimating his value to now defending his value in a matter of 3-4 months lol

Not a huge fan of his tbh. He's super slow

Just wait for the team had to cut Freddy's wifi because he was eating mcDonalds in his room playing Fortnite into the wee hours.
Think he's just never fit in NY's system and is buried behind their big $ guys. Even this year when he's getting scratched he's producing real well at even strength.

This club is desperate for a center with top 6 potential and could put him in some good spots to develop. Figure that'd be better than pick/s as he would step right in.

Now your just entering fantasy land. Also 75% retained?? 🤣
Um, did you not watch Kevin Garnett after Celtics won 2008 NBA title? He specifically said anything is possible

If Gary Betman can fix it so struggling franchises like Pittsburgh (Crosby), Edmonton (McDavid), Chicago (Bedard) and the Rangers jumping up 2 straight years to pick 1 and 2, then he can help the struggling, horrible Bruins

Once Bruins miss playoffs gotta assume the league gives us first overall - the important part is who’s the guy

This is not the year to pick one so Boston needs to probably not blow it up

Blame Sweeney. They’re stuck in mediocrity, they need to stop selling out and miss the playoffs. 2026 is looking like a possibility for Bettman to wheel some magic the Bruins way in the name ofGavin McKenna.

Next expansion team will be the Palm Beach Maralargos and they will win the Cup in their first season.

Who’s the new GM ? Chara or Bergy ? Or do we go outside and go get a grizzled vet like Brian Burke.

I would love Burke. An unlit cigar and the tie dropped around neck would be fantastic
DKH I had come around to your side on Sweeney coming into this season. After last season I’d thought he managed to escape a massive drop off and execute a quick rebuild. I changed my mind on him for sure.

Unfortunately for him, everything he’s recently touched has turned bad. Coach, the major UFA signings, etc. All of a sudden things don’t look so great. If it were my choice, I’d like to see them open to a new coach from the outside, and the movement of a few key players. So the question is, has Sweeney done enough to justify handling all those major decisions again or is it time for a change?

IMO if the right candidate is available I think you cut off the head of the snake (Neely) and hire someone to run everything. I imagine that means Sweeney is gone.

I consolidate all the Canadian teams into 3 teams

Montreal
Toronto
Vancouver

No way Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton, and I think that’s there is another (7 right? They can’t be any good if I can’t remember who they are) should have teams in small markets

We need to keep at 32 so if we see adding Houston, Phoenix, Hamilton, Atlanta in US we need to take away 4

Chara speaks 6 languages- 5 more then Seeeney and played for 5 teams

Chara would be a phenomenal GM based on his intellect and hockey ability

Bergy could be President and look handsome and bring class back to Organization

I’m ready for it

Plus like Yzerman in Detroit no one would dare criticize these two and we would all be on same side

Let’s go Jacobs - do it

Never know whether you’re being serious but not sure I love that group. I’d love to see them go younger than Burke. I’d even be up to bumping Sweeney up to Neely’s role and having him find a GM.

As for the ex-Bruins, no thanks. I want outsiders.

As for whether this will happen, certainly not. I expect the whole gang will be back, with maybe a new coach.

Love DKH, straddles the line better than Quinn Hughes between sarcasm, decisiveness, flippancy, irony and earnestness, all with humour, vast degrees of knowledge and an infectious attitude - never change!

I'd argue that it could be sign of a Boston issue and further confirms that this management group struggles to identify, draft & develop forwards. Jake DeBrusk is on pace for 38G/63P, both of those would be career highs for him. Guys like Vatrano & Donato got moved on from early in their career and both have gone on to carve out nice careers.

IF Frederic were to go to say FLA and put it all together. You'd have to wonder why it didn't work (as well) in Boston. What was Boston asking him to do or not to do that held him back.

I do think the Bruins have a forwards issue, but I'm still not seeing too much from those we've given away. DeBrusk is doing well, for sure, but I still see much the same player as he was in Boston. Just now he's playing for a more offensively-geared team that tends to score more than the Bruins. Donato was very young when he left and it's taken quite a while for him to get it together with any consistency. Was probably a mistake to give up Vatrano so lightly so I'll concede that one. But overall I'm not really seeing any pattern there.

Our ability to draft and develop forwards though, definitely isn't what it needs to be. Been a problem here for too long.

Back to replacing Sweeney again, Geez will that talk ever stop ? Poor guy just can't win. A little patience please. But since you brought it up, if Canada falls flat on its face in the 4 nations and the Bruins miss the playoffs, you might be on to something here.I'm not so keen on Big Z though no experience, but What do you think about Rich Peverly? Bringing back someone who was instrumental in their last Cup team and is also doing a bang up job by being the eyes and ears for Jim Nill out in Dallas. If not Pevs how about Langenbrunner, Hunter, or Darche? Bergeron as Prez no brainer there, good Call!

Donato and Vatrano have really only been successful on bad teams.

Kreider has 2 more years after this and I’m all in

People will freak out the 1 goes but screw it

Frederic & the 2025 first are in it ~ what else you hearing ? Gotta figure Kreider waives to Boston

I do it in a second and I think it’s better then 50/50 Kreider is a Bruins

Basically 3 years of Kreider

Donny let’s go
I don't see the Rags dumping Kreider, but Kakko. I'd do Freddy even up
Kakko - 4G | 10A | +10
Kreider - 10G | 1A | -4
