Who else in the league do you expect to fight the heavyweights and put up 20 20? Is it just Frederic and Tom Wilson. . . who else?
You're right, Freddy is a skill player, what was I thinking? As long as you didn't have your panties in a bunch when Tkachuk spot picked Pasta.

Not fighting the best fighter in the NHL who beats the bag out of other heavyweights is not spot picking.
Ok, how about choosing to fight Larsson and Gustafson this year and nobody else? All season. In all these blow out losses. Fill in the blank.,

If any of the myriad Panthers he tried to fight would have obliged him would that have changed things?

This is such a nothingburger.

I mean don't really give them a choice like he did with Gus? WOuld love to see him tune a Panther.

 You never do.
Why would I? 2011 was great. Even 2013 vs a better team was great. Enjoyed 2017. Last year was a fun run.

I'll leave the President's Trophy tshirts to you.

I don't care if Freddy ever punches another player ever again. I do care that he shows up and plays consistent, solid hockey, plays hard, finishes his checks, and contributes offensively. He has not done a lot of that so far this season. Him punching guys has little to do with any of that.

There was zero reason why any of the Panthers would in that situation. They've owned Boston, were up big, and there's nothing for them to gain by fighting at that point. Freddy expecting them to is nothing but another glaring example of his low hockey iq.

Not fighting the best fighter in the NHL who beats the bag out of other heavyweights is not spot picking.

Frederic is 2 inches taller than only 5 lbs. lighter than Olivier.

He's not being asked to fight 6'7 250 lb monsters like its the mid 1990s. The only recent guy I'd say Frederic is way out of his league on is Lucic and his career is over.

I'd like for someone to explain why Frederic feels it's necessary to lay dirty hits on smaller players and take stupid penalties rather than just us his 6'3 221 lb. frame to win the puck cleanly.

If he was a Hab or Leaf we'd all despise this clown. But he's a Bruin who supposedly brings this mythical toughness and grit so fans and management give him a free pass.

Exactly. Low hockey IQ, I'd say more like low IQ period.

You hate the guy so what's the point? What did you want him to do last night?Let the kid wack him with the stick several times?

Im sure you would be the first to give him credit for skating away. By the way Stanley is as tough as Carlo,

I love Kastalic but lets not act like he fought King Kong and shit on Freddy for fighting a guy that dropped his gloves.

This made up hysteria is over the top.

Can't hit smaller players now?

Was some kind of checking code issued from on high while I was in a opium haze?

Hit them clean all you want. My issue is Frederic is well equipped at 6'3 220 lbs. he doesn't need to cheap shot them and take penalties and hurt his team. I'm not sure why that seems to be a hard concept for fans to understand.

Go watch the video Frederic started the entire thing throwing a tantrum after the face-off. He knew exactly who he was cross-checking. If the Winnipeg player had came at him I'd be fine with him fighting, but Frederic started that party himself. And in a game that was completely out of hand against a team they'll see one more time this season. This isn't sending a message against a rival divisional opponent. Just Frederic being a f***ing sook.

Not sure, The only thing you missed I can gather is Bruins skill players should only fight guys that can't fight that are their size or smaller but not go up against a guy that's the same size but a better fighter.,

Im sure he's shaking in his skates. He could have found him last night when he was on the ice when it happen.

Freddy will be ok, no need to worry about him.
Not worried about Freddy he's a big boy and wont back down no doubt, and yes Lowry more than had the opportunity afterwards to address it, but that doesn't mean he eventually wont.

Not only is he a convenient spot-picker, he picks those spots when the game is already lost and not when he could actually make an impact in its outcome.

I suggest a few fans to go spend some money and gets some seats near the ice and watch Freddy, He gets turned down often for fights.

No he's not a bad ass but he sure is willing to go.

Many guys of his size that are shit stirrers skate away from him. That player last night should have as well.

The hate for this guy is pathetic and embarrassing as a Bruin fan.

And I look forward to seeing it when it happens, Maybe then the haters will stfu

GDTs are full of the most loyal, knowledge Bruins fans in the world begging him to make his presence felt, not for him to fight.

I don't really give a shit if he fights or not. I do care that he spends most of these games playing passive, not engaging physically, and being easy to play against. The fact he then fights some non-fighter at the end of another blowout loss only makes me like him less. It's like he's showing up at the end of a failed group project so he doesn't get blamed for why the group sucked.

Freddy could fight the entire Jets team and you would find some fault, be honest.

This is a team wide issue with passive hockey, I just don't like the fact we have decided to use him as the teams poster child. He can do not right.

Same thing with McAvoy. Bruins fans have become so 2024 its not fun any more.

They rather watch the Coyle's and Carlos and buy their dog calendars. Nope

Here's the video for you. Frederic cross-checks him once, knocks him down and cross-checks him again. Good on Gustaffson for not tolerating Frederic's bullshit and standing up for himself. And if they hadn't started fighting and blown the whistle, not one fan would of remembered this incident first or last.

I call a spade a spade. Frederic deserves everything he gets on this board. It's not like people are making things up. He did decide to start the game hitting a 5'10 170 lb. rookie from behind and putting his team behind the 8 ball less than 2 minutes into a game vs. a challenging opponent on their home ice. He did cross-check Purunovich vs. St. Louis late in the 2nd period putting the Blues back on the PP through the intermission and giving them life, a game they lost in OT by the way when Frederic took too long of a shift and was on the ice for the odd-man rush goal against. He's a low IQ hockey player who has no situational awareness and hurts my favorite hockey team constantly, hence my vitriol. And that's me being nice about it. I could phrase it in a much more nasty way but I digress.

Seems to me you are the one making things up.

Gustafsson was the aggressor? Come on.

Stanley as tough as Carlo? 36 career fights for Stanley in 157 games. 17 for Carlo in 584 games. And we know most of those are closer to slap fights than NHL fights.

I promise that I personally have plenty of Bruins I want to put on some very negative posters this years. Coyle and Carlo's are both extremely large.

Just a question who in the league you expect 20 goals from and to fight heavyweights?

Not complicated.
