To Vegas: Gaudreau (50% retained), Monahan (50% retained)

To Calgary: *Cond. 2023 2nd, Krebs, Dadonov

Vegas bolster their lineup with an all-star winger and a C who can play anywhere in their top 9 depending on how they decide to structure their lineup. Vegas will have the cap space next summer to re-sign Gaudreau if they choose

Calgary bring in a local prospect with upside to be part of their long term core, while also adding a conditional 2023 2nd rd pick. Dadonov, included for cap reasons, gives the Flames a decent offensive winger for their middle 6

*becomes a 2023 1st rd pick if Vegas reaches the Conference Finals

NO. Just create one topic and put all your title ideas in there. People for some reason like them (I don't get it, but to each their own), but nobody ever likes any of the proposals.

E: Oh and just in case you were wondering, this trade doesn't work with the cap as constructed... so that's fun.

A conditional first and a good prospect? Calgary could get something like that for Gaudreau alone. At 50% retention they could get more.

Monhan would return a good package too, plus he has the extra year.

Ridiculous.

It's all well and good to say, but name the team and the prospect they're willing to give up for Gaudreau...

The Hockey Writers have Krebs as the 17th best prospect in hockey, so he's a little more than just a "good prospect"... he'd be the #1 prospect on half the teams in the league

https://thehockeywriters.com/nhl-top-100-prospects-ranking/

Personally, I wouldn't give up a prospect like Krebs for 1 season of Gaudreau... even with 50% retention

desperate times call for Desperete measures in Calgary.

I like it for both sides.

i can see why some may not like it!

But, no pain / no gain!

Begas gets 2/3 of a top line at 1/2 price

Calgary gets a top “centre” prospect….. not often available. Could be their future captain .

This could be their Iggy Niewendyke trade!

Edit……If Calgary made this trade …… the rebuild is on and Tkachuk would be next.

Too bad, they do not have a 40 year old former Norris trophy rated player to trade @ the deadline!

If you take Pacioretty or Stone deals as comp : 2nd + Krebs is enough for Gaudreau, Dadonov is worth a 3rd as per his last trade.

You should make a 3 way proposal between Ottawa, Boston and Toronto…

Tkachuk Holden Out for Moore, Kase

or even better, include Matt Murray, kick out Toronto and Get Both Bishop and Gleason from Dallas

Matt, Tkachuk Holden Out for Moore, Benjamins

Imagine Flames would want Vegas first in this draft.

Don't think either team does it tbh.

VGK could keep mortgaging futures but at some point, they will need those cheap ELC deals to produce.

CGY will likely prefer to split their two bigger assets in separate deals to get more if they choose to re-tool.
I hate the flames more than any other team but this is just absolute garbage almost as bad as the Horvat+ Hughes for Doughty abomination you came up with.
JG is worth at least a 1st and a blue-chip prospect and Sean is worth a 1st.
You propose an unproven kid with maybe 2nd line potential who by the way is from Winnipeg not Calgary and a pp specialist who sucked balls last year?
Mods should introduce a system in which penalties ranging from loss of like buttons to bans to finally a virus sent to the member so that everytime he tries to log on their is a 50% chance your phone locks and you gay porn is played on max volume for a set period of time

The trade doesn't work with the cap for one. If Calgary is going full rebuild, this is being awfully wasteful with some really good assets. I don't think Peyton Krebs is worth this.

I will stay tuned for that one, then.

So long as the trades are sensible, I am all for clever titles!

Well, you must hate this guys proposals then... because there has not been a sensible one among them.

Oh, and spoiler alert... Hughes for Seider is a non-starter. If Detroit wanted Hughes, they would have taken him when he was on the board for them on draft night. They're not going to trade a guy who's done nothing but skyrocket his stock after being a "stretch" at 6OA in Yzerman's first draft for him.
