anyone heard if NHL Network or the like is going to be televising it this year? I think MSG has before so wouldn't shock me if NHL Network uses that feed to cover this assuming they are.

Will they be streamed anywhere even if not shown on TV? Landlord decided to end cable service a month before everyone has to move out.

I don't remember there being streams for it, but then again I haven't paid attention to the tourney for 2-3 years.

In fairness, I could watch Bourque get the Cup 100 times in a row. I'd still get chills.

Pumped for the tourney, hopefully I can catch a couple games on NHLN.

FYI, Brandon Shea has decided to report back to Quebec in the QMJHL. He had previously decided to stay with the South Shore Kings of the EJHL but he changed his mind last week.

Thanks for dropping by to let us know. Shea seems to be taking a long and winding path through his junior career. Just going by his stats alone, he seemed unprepared for Major Junior and really didn't even impress very much at the Junior A level. And at prospects camp he looked completely in over his head, even moreso than the other invitees. I was kind of surprised to see him on the Traverse roster, but I guess the team sees something in him that I don't...

He had health issues. Not physically related but mentally. That's why he left Quebec last year. Now he says he's way better because he took care of the problem. He won't say what it is but I have a good idea what it could be. Hopefully it will only get better for him because he has all the tools to be a pro player.

That explains a lot. Best wishes to the kid, sounds like he has life challenges beyond hockey.

That Buffalo series is my favorite

I've kind of thought the same. If this series and the Edmonton series were just two independent 7-gamers with none mattering more than the other, I think it'd be no contest as to which I enjoyed more. The Buffalo series was just entertaining back-and-forth hockey.

They're kicking everyone out?

Subdivided rowhouse, and the owner is selling it. So yeah, they're kicking everybody out.

I have a new place lined up, but I don't move in until the 13th. And until then, no cable and my internet is a linksys router somewhere in the neighborhood. God bless the technically illiterate.

I may be going to a couple of their games. If I do, I'll give you an update on some of their players. I don't follow any of them so they'll be completely unbiased.

Do you guys know if there will be any Hurricane beat writers at the game today?

I believe Mike Sundheim should be providing some kind of coverage on the games on @Canes_Gameday twitter and on the website.
