Knock him all you want, but he was a useful complimentary guy for most of his time here. And if we can get a decent complimentary player out of a 7th round pick, that's what good development looks like.

Yep. If Lorentz can be a 20 point guy in the show eventually in a 4th line type roll that's huge for most any 7th round pick. Most don't even sniff that.

LaRose had 32G, 59 points in 53 games as a 19 year old in his 2nd OHL season and 67 G, 117 points in 67 games in his 3rd OHL season as a 20 year old.

Lorentz had 23G, 48 points in 58 games as a 19 year old in his 3rd OHL season.

It will be interesting to see what kind of numbers Lorentz puts up this year as a 20 year old.

Great to see a high scoring, skilled team like that. And the fact that they won it without Fleury, Aho, and Saarela there to help shows a lot of hope for the future.

I had planned on watching the final game too, but my little one decided to show up a couple weeks early so I didn't get the chance. Oh well, a son born on the same day the Canes win the prospects tournament has to be a good omen for the future right?

Traverse City-champions 2034 then, with your son in the team?

We'll say so.
