I honestly dont think so. KK doesnt seem to play games in the media and he did say (paraphrasing) that he wants him to play tons of minutes versus the few he would get here and that he should be back if he continues his upward trajectory.

It seems the Oilers are going to live or die with the Cap Accrual strategy this year come hell or high water. They didn't deviate from it when the offer sheets came in, they aren't going to deviate from it now.

I don’t really love it either because
1) This team has played a lot of hockey especially after a short summer
2) Not really convinced that Perry and Ryan are everyday players
