MSG is replaying some games from the previous season, so I've been iso-ing Kakko, especially when he has the puck. Based on that, I'm extremely confident that this season, no one is taking the puck from Kakko when he has it. It will be scary. For Chytil, I'm hoping GG reminds him to dangle less and go straight ahead more. He'll be a puck monster too. For Miller and Laf, can't underestimate having a year under their belts. Miller will be hammering one-timers. Laf will be potting goals from all angles in all situations.

Some people are born with better physical traits than others. Ovechkin was at his physical peak into his 3rd season as well. I think Laf will also be the same.
the only player that looks like he could need some time to fit into his frame is Krav. Other than that we’ve been lucky to have these young guys be physically mature at a young age.
Congrats?

I watch Colorado and NYR (because of Rantanen and Kakko, respectively), and I thought Kakko looked just as good as if not even better than Rantanen protecting puck along the boards. He doesn't have the shot yet, but they do have very similar styles otherwise. What impresses me about Kakko is the skill and technical ability while protecting the puck. Not like Rantanen doesn't have skills, but Kakko uses dangles more when battling for the puck. Add in strength, it should be pretty impressive.MSG is replaying some games from the previous season, so I've been iso-ing Kakko, especially when he has the puck. Yes, it's great news. Just stunned. Sitting in my office and my wife told me about an hour ago. I'm 35, she's 33. First kid. We were starting to wonder if we would have a hard time having kids. Can't believe it. We only just finally got married (because of Covid delays, we'd been engaged 2 years) a few weeks ago. Life moves fast... holy cow.
My wife and I got married in an August years back. We had our son the following May. No wasting time there!Yes, it's great news. Just stunned. Kakko's puck possession didn't raise as many alarms as his foot speed did. Hes certainly not a burner by any means
Let this sink in for a minute:
Filip Chytil is a physical specimen.
Filip Chytil is a skilled young player.
Filip Chytil is no longer an outlier in this organization when it comes to young talent with that combination.
Well then, Congrats!!!!
I can still remember where I was when my wife told me about our oldest.
Enjoy the ride, it's a lot of fun.

Nah, not when he's still on his ELC and they have veterans who are going to be here for many years. Same goes for Fox.I wish they'd give Laf the C. When you watch the players interacting between play & after the game, he's one of the most vocal guys on the team; as a rookie. That is unheard of. He has that Ovi-level infectious fun-loving personality; and that Crosby/MacKinnon-level obsession and compete level. He is the no brainer future captain IMO

Let’s argue over numbers insteadThis latest Kakko meme has to be the lamest thing I have seen on HF, which is really saying something
