I suspect Woll will get Saturday and game #1Hasn't looked like a guy who is going to be a #1 this year. Solarz might just get the net game 1 and run with it.

Greybokin had a good game them looked kinda crappy the next game, out of position a lot.
Robertson , who is not a prospect, looks dangerous in both ends, had a great strip and goal last game
Cowan looks like a guy that was told no matter what he does, he is headed back to the OHL, he's been just a guy out there, he's not playing with the intensity that I thought he would play with.
Lorentz not a prospect but looks like a quality, aggressive 4th liner.
Pare looks like a AHLer who is in over his head in the NHL.
Rifai while not overly impressive has not looked out of place, Topi and Webber the same.
Patches looks like he has his legs back.
McMann I thought would be noticeable in the pre season, he's a ghost.
Knies looks slow and clunky, when he skates hard, he violently waves his stick around like he is trying to flag down a passing ship.
I thought a LW would step up, outside of Robertson no one has overly impressed me, Patches had a good first game, we might have the weakest LW in the league, for sure bottom 10 LW.
Probably that Laine is still on a lot of painkillers lolWhat do Habs fans have to say now?
There is a minimum # of vets required. The only lineup that matters is opening night. McMann should be there vs MTL on Oct. 9th.Haven't heard much about McMann this pre-season. Wonder why he's being picked on to play with the AHL'ers
He was projected to be a Berube sort of player

Do you decide if a player will be great off of 11 games? He's had all kinds of chances to win a gig. He got the playoff start too and look awful, it's on him.
I saw Pietr... and thought that was Pietrangelo for a second lol
and the yearly "player X (marner/nylander) playing center/defence" one week distraction is over.

How about when they rip is confidence away from him by showing him they don't trust him - do you think that helps him to play better?
Remeber he's like 23 years old - temper your expectations and remember how much of an idiot you were at 23 - I know I was a disaster at that age. - not trying to offend you.
We expect perfection from growing, developing players. It just doesn't happen every time like
He's 25 first of all. Second, he looked better two years ago, I haven't seen any development in his game. He was terrifying this playoffs, the lack of composure with the puck was alarming. He's good depth, if he finds another level great, I don't see it.34, 16 and 88 - There will be pain. We have 80+ million dollars to spend - a 3 million dollar player shouldn't be what makes or breaks us.

That's not "crap". It's a disappointment, yes. It is under performing, yes. It's not crap. The Leafs have been one of the five or six best teams in the league the last several years and most of the the 25 or so behind us haven't won a cup either...so unless your definition of crap includes 25 teams then I think your choice of words is inaccurate. It’s funny that we are debating which teams in the Matthews era have been the best when by the results they have all been crap. First round losses abound. This fact is beyond debate…..it’s real. We can throw all the excuses we want but they have been playoff failures
If you have to ask, the answers probably noAny of these defenseman actually good
Zero growth or improvement in the last 8 years in the playoffs if not crap is certainly major failure. That's not "crap". It's a disappointment, yes. It is under performing, yes. It's not crap. The bottom six is very suspect in that practice group. Dewar and Reaves on the third line? Really? I like them as people but they’re not 3rd line NHL players.
and the yearly "player X (marner/nylander) playing center/defence" one week distraction is over.
Kampf isn’t a third line C.I have a feeling the Pacioretty-Kampf-Robertson line we saw today is our third line on opening night.
NoneWhat are the chances Vancouver and Toronto meet in the finals?
I'm glad you are enjoying this successOr they keep working to breakthrough in the toughest division in hockey.
In the past seven seasons the Atlantic Division has:
• Lifted three Stanley Cups (Florida ‘24, Tampa ‘21, Tampa ‘20)
• Represented the Eastern Conference in six out of seven Cup Finals, including each of the past six
• Accounted for four of the top 11 NHL teams in playoff games played.
Maybe they are growing and improving like a team does, it's just harder to have to play Tampa, Boston or Florida than the LA Kings.
The Florida Panthers went 25 years without winning a playoff series. They missed the playoffs a few years before winning a cup. They did change their GM and their coach. We did that too.
