With Brouillard, Emberson, Harpur, Hollowell, Jones, Mackey, Robertson, Scanlin, and then guys like Berzolla, Hillman, maybe Clendening--the organization was clearly prepared and possibly expecting to lose 1-2 defensemen on waivers. They built up a lot of depth and while losing Emberson sucks, they should be fine with all the other pieces they acquired.

Ty claim may mean a Pack offer to Adam C.
And more ice for Brou and Hillman.
But gotta hope that when Mac H gets waived, NYR don’t lose the rest of org’s RHD depth

No i want Cullye and Rempe in the lineup every night, both add a dimension we usually pay a premium for at the deadline.

Brodz was the only guy that looked good with Kravtsov and that really intrigued me. I'm down.

If they build this roster with Cuylle and Rempe in it I'm pretty excited for this season. They aren't difference makers offensively but they provide push back without sacrificing ability and have young legs. Let's stop this insanity of adding over the hill depth players and use the guys we drafted. I also want a better look at Robertson, he's more suited to the spot we have available in the future than Jones.

Is anyone else noticing the this years team, when fielding the guys who are more on the bubble or AHL guys, appears to be MUCH more competitive than in years past? By that I mean that when players like Rempe or Brodzinski or Robertson are playing, yes there are some gaffs, but the drop off from NHLer to that next tier seem much smaller than in years past?

I’m not just listing forwards. All of these guys, at times, flashed what could have been or could be solid depth options from Game 1 for various reasons.

The team and organization should have MUCH better depth from Day 1

If Lindy is hurt, then literally no answer will satisfy you. Lindy Fox is the only thing that's "a thing" according to you (and admittedly historically for the past few seasons). But it's not "my lineup," either. It was your hypothetical of how to deal with less than optimal situations.

Miller Fox played last game. Lindy Trouba played tonight. You may not like it, but it's currently being toyed with. The team has looked LOST when Lindy has been out, so might as well work that shit out now, right?

I expect a handful of those names to become mainstay type players in the coming years very similar to how the early 2010's Rangers teams found good NHL tier players outside the 1st round.

I will say that as weird as I feel about Drury with some of his decisions the drafting with this team has been very solid since he took over.

I notice a trend. Rempe Cuylle Othmann Brodzinski Edstrom hardworking players that fit here that the coach can trust and all been playing well, and players like Panarin Trocheck, Lafy and Mika are not, especially during this preseason playing like crap, Mika has been hurt and still looks off to me.
