I'm using online radio as well since I am not in LA. But for those of you that live there, you guys don't have old school radios or something?

Yeah but I took the antenna for it down about 20 years ago... wires strung up everywhere to get reception...

Auger and Brodzinski were the two Kings picks I didn't like.

Auger is the type of guy you take a flyer on in the sixth or seventh round. He likely would have been available given that many scouts didn't have him in their top 210. I like the player; he was simply taken too high.

Thought Brodzinski was a reach as well.

Auger was the only pick I didn't like. As Ziggy said, the guy can score. Other aspects of his game need work and I BELIEVE I read some attitude issues but simply put - he can ****ing score. Auger? He's just tall. I agree. Late round flyer at best.

Has anyone noticed Penner's name being mentioned at all tonight?

If he can turn the puck over 3 times, I'd say he's in mid season form. I haven't been as excited to have a player off this team in a good number of years.

I think the Kings are looking to find their own version of Bryan Bickell. I wouldn't count Clifford out yet either. He's just as young (if not younger) than most of those names you listed.
Not counting him out, but with Nolan, Double A and Sabourin, Clifford would be an attractive trade piece.
If AA makes the squad, then Fraser should be waived/moved. I also see King getting moved before the kings move Clifford.

Fraser would net us a pick. 2 time cup winning 4th line centers are valued commodities. King is an orange, Clifford is an apple. They're both striving for that 3rd line LW spot but I can't compare the two. Ideally the Kings would move King before Clifford yes.

How do you even remember that??? I just looked him up, and he apparently was a better scorer than I had remembered. He scored 20+ goals the last 3 seasons with the kings.

Oh yeah I remember him playing with Luc Robitaille and Todd Elik. They were the Kings' 2nd line for quite some time while Gretz played with Sandstrom and Granato. I think playing countless hours of NHL Hockey and NHLPA'93 helped me become familiar with every player in the NHL during the early 90s.

I want to root for Garon because he's an underdog (an old guy fighting to stay in the league) but I'm just not sure he's the best option for the backup role even if he does well in his tryout.

So far the Kings look like a team and the Ducks look like individuals. Maybe it is because the Kings minor league teams learn the same system
