I think Vince is good. In fact he's probably the best the Rangers have had in as long as I can remember...he tries to put out a decent amount of content and think about different things to write about and ask, etc.

Yeah I think Vince is very good. The organization just doesn’t want to be very open about TC and never really has. Only so much a writer can do with that.
My assumption is that there was an issue in Sweden and it affected his ability to get a VISA. Also probably some forced quarantine issues after arriving. He is our only swedish national at the moment.

It is annoying the Columbus gets their full scrimmage streamed... for free...
Here in MTL, the media has access to interviews with 3 players after each day's practice/scrimmages and the coach (Julien) speaks to the media every day...
I honestly don't know why people care about practice. It's usually boring. It's not even a preseason game.

Just came on HF after a busy day. Checked the NYR twitter. Some other feeds. A single page was added to this thread. No video interviews posted anywhere last night. Virtually nothing today. The coverage has been abysmal.
If you woke up on a random day and looked at the coverage you would never think that the season is about to begin in 5 days. The Rangers and MSG have dropped the ball completely on marketing their team this preseason.
I know there are challenging circumstances we are facing but im shocked they have been so extremely light with content. Today it just died. You would think there would be more than usual as camp progresses, not less.

seriously. A lot of people on this site also want it so they can hype up their young prospects who "look great in camp" but then end up getting sent down anyway. Camp shmamp.
And preseason games suck too. Every season I get super hyped then halfway thru the first preseason game i'm bored. The real games are less than a week away, just hang on everybody.

and I dislike reality television, but the content is still there for those who are interested in it. I can just choose to spend my time doing other things.
The issue here is that because no content is being produced/disseminated, the Rangers aren't even giving people the option to ignore it

That the veterans really don’t work that hard in preseason games makes it tougher to evaluate the kids performances as well

i think that’s NY and hockey. If sports radio would focus on the sport i’m betting they would respond. Canada has news all the time while Philly and Boston get some info. This Ny market talks about horse racing and tennis more than hockey while baseball dominates and we complain about our football teams.

I do have to agree pretty odd that the marketing machine seems to barely be putting anything out. I know a stream will never happen for some reason but even beyond that our fanbase is really given crumbs which is crazy.

Rangers have maybe the worst social media presence in sports. It's the worst in the NHL for sure.
I actually miss Jim Cerny. He was weird and every time he asked a new player how it feels to be part of an original 6 team I wanted to punch him through my monitor, but he put together quality stuff (especially compared to what we get now) and he loved the sport.
You aren't interested in how prospects are developing and who might possibly be in the opening night lineup?

... Its a scrimmage though. I'd like to have access to this as well. It's not nearly as intense as the real deal, but there are still things you can pick up from a scrimmage and I'd rather not have to rely on the words of people in the media to tell me how players look.
