I like our defence more. We're tougher and can clear the net. Unlike Brodie or Lilly.

Except that not doing anything pretty much guarantees Brodie will be on the playoff roster, and likely in the playoff top 4...

But I’d rather this than dump the remaining assets we have on players that will ultimately be non-impactful and leave via free agency.

I’m sure there will be some major restructuring in the off-season.

Just looking at some teams like FLA, BOS, VGK - barring any surprises we’re just not there. But I’d love to be wrong on this.

Completely true. There is definitely a risk to that trade. But a lot of championship teams have been built by teams who came out on the right side of these kinda trades
