TB was never going to trade him to Toronto directly.

Yep. A team that needed to shed cap space and change it up for some really good depth pieces and future assets.

Pretty jealous of their ability to be aggressive and get stuff done.

Trading Sergachev so that they can extend Stamkos is pretty stupid though. Geekie is a nice piece, but they’ve moved on from the wrong piece.

Utah sure is being aggressive building a better back end. Sergachev and Marino is a good step forward for them. Lots of cap space.

Marino and a 5th for two 2nds. Top 4 RHD signed for 3 more seasons.

Don't see why we throw away picks at the deadline for rentals all the time when you can get way better value this time of year and just properly set your team up to begin with.
