Lou doesn't like prospects or picks so I wouldn't be surprised if he asks for Knies or nothing for Dobson

Every gm would ask Knies or nothing for the only reason you don't trase a 24/25 YO #1 Dman for pick or prospect except if the player is a troublemaker and coming with huge issues off the ice. If leafs want Dobson but dom't want to move Knies, an other team will pay that price no doubt about it.

If we want Dobson, 100% Knies would have to be going the other way. I would also bet Timmins would be apart of the deal as well.

It would hurt to loose Knies but I think I would still pull the trigger. The possibility of acquiring a top pairing RHD doesn’t come very often and when it does, you should probably jump on the opportunity.

Dobson would really solidify would blueline, while creating a hole upfront. However it’s easier to find someone to play with Matthews than finding another top pair RHD.

It'd be a fair deal. Leafs may have to add a bit more. But not a huge amount. Maybe a 2026 1st?
