Yep. If some other team wants to overpay that should not influence the Leafs strategy to build a good long term team.

He’s too smart to not be ready he has the body already we need a defensive center hi iq and can chip in he looks like he hits every need

You want to be careful with his offensive game, it's still developing imo and it could be the difference between a 3C or 4C or a 2C in a few years time
